Its not even how many wins smith got the team this year, its how many games he gave the team a chance to win and they choked away on the terrible coaching/pp/individual decisions

Both setting new career highs...look I don't think Ferland is a first liner either but come on now. Especially with Mony

The thing I hate about their post game comments. No real accountability. We all know this team is as fragile as a card house.

"We didn't get lucky, we out chanced them, they capitalized on our mistakes." I hear these constantly post game.

The media is butter soft on our coaching staff, when Odland asked GG about the poor start against NYI he came back with a sassy reply. News flash Glen, the team has had a bad start for majority of the games this season.

Said he liked the "thought process" but didn't like the execution -- players were too tight (instead of being loose and having good flow). Tried the "behind the net" play, had the "low attack" and the "high attack". Ended up trying to pass the puck into the net.

tl, dr: It sucked.

I certainly don't blame Smith for the season but he has been bad on home ice...its just a fact. Goal tending overall hasn't been all that good.

Road yes...but that is only half the games

and wtf didn't Glen yank Smith after goal 4. He was off and Ritter could have turned the tides a bit.

Peak injury.

My worry is Monahan has skater's back. He might take the most consistent amount of punishment on the roster outside of Tkachuk.

Feels like his stride is shorter lately, not as much 'oomph'.

If the Flames had proper forward depth I don't think anyone would be complaining about a 30 goal scorer

Nashville is in first place and their top goal scorer has less goals than Monahan

He says the PP isn't helping all season. Why does BT keep Dave Cameron on the payroll?

Gulutzan had this to say about their remaining 10 games and a playoff picture that is quickly falling out of view for the Flames: "We have 100 points left on the table. So, until we run out of points, we’re going to play the next game.”

Amazing how in that SuperMatt thread about average production, it's hard to find a metric that doesn't illustrate the flames are about 20 goals out from competing in the top 3rd of the league for offence.

Just don't have the horses this year. One top 6 injury cripples the lineup.

He isn't wrong...fans can quit after every loss but what else do you expect the guy to say.

Now we know why Jagr bailed ship. Probably knew this was the titanic and took the only lifeboat back to Kaldno.
