So happy.
Any doubt that alongside Gio this guy is the leader of this team.

I'll just leave this here

Very impressed. If Stajan wants to be that guy I’m on board. Tremendous heart.

Tonight I eat crow.

The Oilers are so close to reaching their perennial objective.

Yep...another high pick.

So stop with the unadulterated whining and be happy.

McDavid was obviously good, but I barely noticed Draisaitl or Poolparty.

No. The vocal posters were worried. Honestly, the hate on this site is unfounded. Shore was a good player for the Kings. I have no idea why Calgary fans call him an AHLer. Jankowski is way more unproven than Nick Shore. Just unfounded criticism. Not saying Shore should stay in that position going forward. Jankowski is young and has a lot of potential. But to say that the bottom six is AHL calibre because Shore slots in over Jankowski is bizzare.

That was just my push back on most of CP for the entire day...nothing personal

probably over 2000 NHL games played in the bottom six, to call them AHL is silly.

Nice try. The Flames had an equal number of great chances or more. Backlund's post. Talbot saves off of Bennett, Ferland, Lazar.

I'd be concerned if had "the best player in the world" and couldn't get within sniffing distance of the POs.

And talbot made a huge save on Hamilton in the third. He's usually money from there. Goalie made a big save. Smith made some for the flames. That's hockey. Your goalie is supposed to be one of your best players. Necer understand the "if not for the goalie" argument. He's doing what he's supposed to.

If the flames were a complete disaster all game long, I would get your argument but they weren't. The oil pushed to tie in the third, and smith came up huge. That's a good thing.

Draisaitl was really good IMO. He was just covered really well most of the time. Ferland had him hemmed off almost perfectly at one point where it turned into a great rub out on the boards behind the Flames net. Usually Draisaitl beats the guy and gets a scoring chance, but props to Ferly on that particular play.

aren't you one of those guys that always discounted leadership back in the Iginla era when I was moaning on and on about him?

Good to see them win a 1 goal game like that. Lately they wouldn’t have been able to close it out. Hopefully it builds some confidence.
