I've always wondered if this jersey is a joke or for real...

70's/80s Houston Astros or Pittsburgh Pirate ones are pretty nasty.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... those are one of my favourite jersey's of all time. And if anyone knows anyone who bought them (I remember seeing them at various jersey stores when the first batch of 3rds came out) and wants to get rid of it... let me know.

I've caught flack for admitting it before, and I'm sure I'll catch flack for it now... but I'm a fan of the "King Friday".

Some of the WHL "Anniversary" jerseys have looked pretty crappy. The Hitmen one was the best of the bunch IIRC. I'll try and track down some pics of those.

Tiger Williams doesn't do aerobics. Well maybe he does, but he doesn't wear plastic Lange's when he's doing them.

I actually liked that jersey when I was a little kid. Maybe that was a marketing strategy -- get little kids to like it so they'll buy one. The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim must have been paying attention.

Didn't the Rochester American's have these really garish sweaters a few years ago that had this big stars and stripes motif flowing from the front to the back over the shoulders?

The Stars 3rd sweater with the deranged bull on the front were pretty sad.

Oh, and anything in the cooperall era just sucks no matter what.

Cooperalls ruled, I wish they would make a retro comeback. I seriously liked that look!

I liked Cooperalls as well but you can sort of see how the puck could get lost in those tuxedo pants. I think that was the reason they got rid of them.

The "first generation" Cooperalls for kids were great. They were made out of nylon and had pretty much zero resistance when they made contact with the ice. If you went down you could slide for a long way.

Check out the Ohio Mixers - the logo was a cement truck.

fascinating. can't say I remember either the Alberta or Saskatchewan franchise, and the fact they have a team nicknamed "the Chinook" is awesome

On that note...

The whole site is pretty funny. The fashions off the court were much better than on.

Actually, I totally disagree with the number 1 selection, I really liked those original Tampa Bay Uniforms. Though I think the author is mistaken, the jersey pictured looks like their regular away jersey from that time time, not the alternate.

Other their original jerseys, I would have to say the Canucks have had nothing but a litany of misguided uniform designs.

My vote for all time worst uniforms however were the alternate jerseys the Dallas Mavericks wore for one season about three years ago. They were kind of greyish and looked like they were made out of latex or something - something right out of an S&M house.

As an aside, I'm glad the Blue Jays got rid of their slate grey hats and, though in general I like their new uniforms, the logo is way too big on the hat and looks terrible.
