The game can be summed up as Gibson outplaying Smith badly as it's not like the Islanders have been great or anything.

He had a real rough first period and early second, but I wouldn't hang the fourth one on him.
Has looked good since about the 5 minute mark of the 2nd period.

After falling behind, you have to lean on Hamilton over Hamonic IMO. I love Hamonic but he's not going to bring offence.

You can talk about the goaltending and the Flames outshooting the Isles. But if you were to tune in not knowing the standings, you sure as hell wouldn't think the Flames need this win badly because they're hungry for a playoff spot.
