Do we have a NHL calibre hockey team on ice? I think these guys are looking forward to the summer holiday than anything else. No intensity, no one skate and just look slow compared with the isles.

Just got a copy of the first period intermission pep talk from and insider:
“OK men. We’re down 2 goals and fighting for our playoff lives. I need every single one of you to put in as mediocre, uninspired effort as you can muster. If anyone needs me, I’ll be blow drying my hair.”

Flames dominating. Sure it sucks they can't finish but a lot of the bitching here is flat incorrect. Likely to have close to 40 shots after 2.

That was ridiculous by Tkachuk. Facing his own net, gets crosschecked from behind, somehow ends up with the puck, going towards the opponent's net, and has the guy who hit him behind him.

Say what you want about Hartley's coaching style, but he surely wouldn't have put up with this kind of lackadaisical effort with playoffs on the line.

Almost all coaches cross the line and are complete jerks behind the scenes. GG, Hartley, Sutter- whatever- it doesn't make much difference. At least the players were inspired by Hartley.

Tends to happen when your desperate and have the d pinch on every play. Also tends to give up more high scoring chances against which we have also done.

Yeah, except this game would not have had playoff implications as they would have been out of it by Christmas. Hartley sucked.

I don't hope for Gulutzan to get his head bashed in or anything but I hope the Flames follow the TWD story line with their Glens.
