Kings tweeted the Professional Hockey writers after the first goal from Doughty, assisted by Kopitar, to make it 2-1, saying its early enough on the east coast so the writers couldn’t ignore seeing those two guys playing and lighting it up.
But....
Score is now 6-1 Blues and Kopitar is -3 and Doughty - 4.
Oops.

Yay! Wasn't going to say til it was done for sure lol, but this is the Capitals first win in San Jose since October 30, 1993. I wasn't even born yet. 
Washington are 13-27-1 all-time against the Sharks. I wasn't optimistic they'd pull through at all lol.
