Flames 5 Sabres 1

- odd, Flames never cruise
- third line leads the way in the first
- first line takes over in the second
- former Flame Chad Johnson chased
- a little light at the end of the tunnel

love how these Flames commentators are gagging about destroying the Sabres. Not like we can beat that team but it's not much to be proud about.

EDIT:

Not sure why I don't see hilarious stuff like that on Oilers broadcasts where they show Klefbom make two obvious defensive plays and an assist.

I wonder if it helps players confidence to have smoke blown up their rear instead of being criticized for every single mistake (guilty).
Lets be real, its not like the Oilers broadcast crew could find two obvious defensive plays by Klefbom, let alone show them.

What they could do is show Klefbom fumbling around his zone while the keystone cops theme plays in the background.

Tkachuk's exactly the kind of character that makes hockey wonderful. Captain material in the making, no doubt.

A team which, in the last two weeks, has beaten Boston, Toronto, and Tampa Bay. Are the two points not good enough for you? Would you like to give them back?

Hot streak, every team has them. Even terrible ones.

No, but I'd like for people to stop planning the parade.

And there was no particular reason why this particular hot streak should have gone cold tonight. Surely one deserves some credit for beating a hot team.

What people? Is somebody planning a parade? The most I've seen is people being glad that the team's chances of making the playoffs are still precariously alive.

I'm sure, though, that if you asked the Flames' front office nicely, they would decline the two points for the win, and put us all out of your misery.

Who is planning the parade? When the team loses, it's depressing in here, when the team finally pull out a convincing win, fans can be happy, even for a day. I don't understand where you are coming from, or where it's going.

Parade? No. I'm celebrating the fact that in a true must win game, the Flames won.

I'll come out and be honest guys. This was the one game I was really planning for and had all the parade materials laid out for a Flames triumph over the 2017-18 Buffalo Sabres.

But since I judging by the tone, maybe I'll save the festivities for next game. Or should we continue to wear black and morn the loss of another season?

Can we at least hang a banner? Would that be ok nemanja?

It was a big game because not only did they get the all important 2 points, but it was a game that allowed them to get some confidence back in their game. That in Its self is huge after all the chances they have had lately and failed to capitalize.

Playoffs remain a less than ideal chance, but we are off the lows! Time to trend up and battle to the bitter end! GFG

So, just so I have the rules clear. We have to be angry with losses, and aren’t allowed to be happy with a win. Do I have that correct?

Stop quoting people on my ignore list! You're ruining the feature!

You're a Flames fan right? I get it you don't like GG, but the 2 points are huge for the Flames. I don't like GG but I'm cheering for the Flames to make the playoffs.

For a long time poster I expect better.
