Must be nice for Jimmy vesey to be on this tire fire Rangers team instead of playing for Nashville the team that drafted him and a shot at the cup.

My God do the Flames need Ferkland back.

Sam Bennett is ever more worser on the top line.

No late period soiling.

Get out of it without a penalty or GA.

Rittich has fallen off a cliff, but Gillies (in starts) is playing outstanding.

Lumping Gillies in with Rittich makes no sense. If the Fan was running with that number, what a stupid assessment of “stats” on their behalf.
To be fair, Rittich has had starts against teams like Vegas, Nashville, and Boston x 2. While Gillies' 3 starts were against Arizona, Colorado and Dallas.

Too bad Johnny couldn't slip Monahan a pass sooner on that last rush. Monahan was wide open in a perfect scoring spot.

Mark Giordano might be the hardest working quality player in the NHL.

What utterly poor reporting by them.

Gillies is off to a great start to his NHL career. He has 4 starts (1 last year):

3-1-0
1.50 GAA
.950 SV%

Win Vs. LA: .964 SV%
Win Vs. ARZ: .946 SV%
Win Vs. COL: .966 SV%
Loss Vs. DAL: .923 SV%

120 Shots against
6 Goals against

We can definitely test Gillies more, but Rittich has also fallen apart after goals against while Gillies seems to bounce back a fair bit better. As Gillies continues to perform, he should get tougher opponents. My point is just that the whole "goalies aren't getting it done" REALLY is "Rittich isn't getting it done" because Gillies has performed well every start this year.

Fun period to watch. Gillies wants that one back, but lots of pressure on the other net.

He's had a very strong game so far.

I often wonder where this team would be without him. He does so much on a night to night basis.

I can't believe that there was debate between him and Glencross for captaincy, and that I wasn't entirely opposed to either taking the reigns. Boy was I wrong.

I can’t remember him ever taking a night off. May not get the results he desires every night but always gives his very best.

Smith could have got injured the play after the goal anyway. Blaming Frolik for it is just silly. Injuries happen and if you really wanted to you could probably find a play a teammate did that had he not the injury may not have happened.

Has to start somewhere right?

Most top lines score maybe one goal per game maybe 2 so you’ve still got 40 minutes and they might be able to do it.

Not quite sure why you’re being so negative about them playing well in the first period despite not scoring
