No #1 goalie and you can turn the lights out for this year. They will soon find themselves at least 6 points out of the playoff spot. Been waiting to see which team falls back of the pack ... ladies and gentlemen its your Calgary Flames.

You take Bennett off the first line because you need him to be maybe the only halfway decent player on the roster in the bottom 6.

Hathway - Janko - Brouwer, which we saw part of tonight, might be the worst third line in the entire league. I don't know what buffalo's got but it would be tough to get worse than that.

You put Glass in because Lazar took an absolutely brutal interference penalty yesterday that started the momentum slide, and undisciplined play will kill you in the NHL (we saw that tonight).

The Penguins fired Bylsma AFTER LOSING IN THE STANLEYCUP FINAL IN THE PREVIOUS SEASON.

The flames got friggin' swept.

Get some perspective.

What are you talking about? Bylsma was hired in February of ‘09, and won the Stanley Cup. Prior to that, he was coaching in the AHL. My point was that there is a history of firing coaches late in the season.

Also, all the reasons you tried to bring up effectively prove Gully can’t coach worth a damn.

When faced with the option between playing NHL players, and non-NHL players, a good coach would make obvious choice.

Two super boring games in a row. Really dumb play by Tkachuk in that second period penalty that could have cost the Flames the game. Really need these points. It's only been two games but I don't see Stewart as a winner at this level, doesn't win battles, zero offence or defense, take him out of the lineup. The 4th line of Glass-Stajan-Stewart to me is the worst line in the entire NHL. Get Shore in next game, Lazar, go with them on the 4th line with speed and energy. Not sure who to play with Gaudreau and Monahan, I guess Bennett is the only option.

I'm thinking that 700 is about right. A lot of 3 point games right now.

The youngster completely lost his composure trying to make an impression, costing the Flames their best player for the final 12 minutes of the game and will face no repercussion for doing so.

Edit: just noticed the linesmen were Greg Devorski and Shane Heyer. So 5,000 games between three of the officials and the youngster. No wonder he was trying everything he could to get noticed.
Oh.

Oh yeah. He got noticed, all right.

You can blame one thing but it's really a combination of:

1. Undisciplined.
2. Bad reffing
3. Losing the goaltending battle
4. Missing the net
5. Not capatilizing on opportunities - scored 2 goals in the last 2 games. That doesn't cut it.
6. That forward roster isn't going to cut it.
7. Gotta show more composure when there is some adversity.

This isnt even me being pessimistic.... you fix any 2 of those things and we probably win the last 2 games.

The Treliving the wizard meme is dead imo.

He should absolutely start being on the hot seat with a new coach in place next season. However I don't think he will be being the entire organization has a serious problem with accepting that their decision making is flawed.
I believe Burke and Treliving will both be in the hot seat next season. This summer is going to be massive.

Agree to disagree, I think injuries to Smith and Ferland, coupled with a coach unable to adjust is compounding issues. He has improved us at almost every position but RW

Oh you think Ken King is going to go and fire Burke? The lack of organization self awareness starts with him.

I'm trying to figure out why the hell you wouldn't play Lazar tonight when Colorado has a young, speedy team.

Also, we need Mike Smith back. Pronto. He gives the boys confidence.

I used to be a GG supporter and thought that he wasn’t so bad and that it couldn’t possibly get worse but this Eason has shown me one thing and that is that the players are being forced into a system where they have to think too much about positioning or who to cover or where they should skate to. And at a certain point they can’t just concentrate on playing hockey.

Overthinking is the reason we see them delay for a split second over a good shooting opportunity on the pp and in the nhl that split second is what wins or loses you games.

GG has to go. And it should happen now. Bring DARYL back for the last 18 games as interim coach and find a replacement this summer

Think Burke steps down if next season is a mess.

Is it bad to turn off the TV when the Avs scored their third goal hoping to check the ticker later to see the Flames came back to win. Other teams seem to find a way but we have consistently fallen short when we need to push. Seeing that the Flames never scored again after conceding 3 straight goals should not surprise me. I am at peace with who the Flames are...disappointed but at peace.

Flames refused to have a post game interview with the fan960, needless to say that locker room is having it out right now. Good
