At the same time though...why is anyone talking about Hartley? He coached a rubbish system, and he got rubbish results 3 of the 4 years he was here.
Gully isn’t a very good coach, I don’t think anyone is arguing he’s a good coach because there’s literally zero evidence that shows he is a good coach. That said, let’s not go crazy and say Hartley is better.
Hartley was bad in his own special, unique way.
Gulutzan is also bad, in all his own special and unique ways.

I think its just because even though Hartley was a bad systems coach, he was actually a pretty good motivator. They may of hated him but he had this team playing like their lives depended on it if they were down. I want a someone like Gallant good at systems but the team actually plays out of their mind for him.
Whether its a positive or negative motivator type coach I don't care at this point. But I don't enjoy watching GG style its boring and I don't think the players are motivated by him positively or negatively. Sack him and get a different system thats fun to watch and that activates the D. Sack the assistants as well and get one that is a motivator. Or dig deep and get a coach thats good at both.
