The coaches don’t tell them to slash, hook or do stupid crap, coaching would be more aggression penalties not flat footed penalties imo. That’s on the players to play smarter or positionslly sound, also hit the net.

Timeouts to change momentum are so overrated. They usually just reinforce for the other team that they are dominating. Much better to use them for rests late in the game.

They just had a commercial break longer than any timeout.

This is not a great second period, which is terrible as the Avs are not very good. I just don't get what the Flames problem is this season. It's always something wrong but what it is tends to shift on a game by game basis.

Getting into the playoffs isn't enough, they got swept last year.
I'd say he keeps his job if he can get the team into the second round.
