Flames played ok. Difference to me was the flames in ability to hit the frigin net.

It shocks me that Gaudreau having an MVP type year, actually getting goaltending, yet this franchise hasn't seen an ounce of overall improvement from last season.

That sucked. 2 points stolen by Bishop. If the Flames keep playing like this and Smith is back soon I'm confident they will make the playoffs.

With the Blues loss in mind, If the oilers and golden knights win tonight, this flames loss doesn't sting that much.

0 for 6 on the PP is a good road effort?

Calgary needs to put a higher emphasis on drafting some skill up front asap imo...

I like Vilamaki, but was hoping for Tolvanen or Vesalainen... doesn't help when you trade your high draft picks though...

Probably needed to make Bishop move laterally. He was square to a lot of those shots.

Disappointing result, but decent play. Goalie vs Goalie, and the Flames lost. A couple of the PPs looked really good and almost produced, a couple were gong shows.

Not much more can be said. Bishop was great.

Yeah. That is annoying. Last year we had no goaltending and we were still able to make the playoffs. This year, we get great performances from the top guys, and our goaltending has been great for the most part this season unlike last where it was a major pain point, yet here we sit outside the playoffs... So frustrating.

Should give Shore a shot on the Monahan/Gaudreau line.

Outside of the last pp, I thought the looks and possession on the pp was very good.

They lost because Ben Bishop. It happens.

Move on and win tomorrow.

Yes a sensable HC and coaching staff is the most glaring element missing.
Treliving could pick up any 3rd-4th line player from any team and this clown Gulutzan will feel the need to put them with Johnny and Monahan.
Gulutzan is straight up a bizarre coach.

Have we heard anything on Smith lately? If this team is going to make the playoffs they need him back. Hard to blame the goalie for only giving up 2 but the team plays more confidence in front of him.

Did you not watch the game? Flames generated plenty of great chances, including on the PP. Bishop was the difference. End of story.

They drafted Bennett and Tkachuk. They signed Foo, who was supposed to be skilled.

The draft picks they traded weren't going to get elite skill, unless you get really lucky.
