I wasn’t referring to his career high. I suspect he’ll not come close to that again, unless he sees considerable time in the top 6, which isn’t likely.

Funny, because an awful lot of players top out at their career high. Apparently I've been missing something important in the stat lines.

Yes, you have been.

I was talking about his likely range of goals going forward.

The fact he once scored more than his likely range doesn’t. change what I said.

I never said his career high in goals would be 15.

You said he would peak at 12-15. If he never scores more than 15 again, then that will not be his peak, because he has already peaked. QED.

In any case, I see no reason why a player who scored 19 goals as a 22-year-old in Chicago, where he was not a top-six forward, should need a top-six role to come near that mark again in his career. So far, I have nothing from you but your unsupported assertion that he isn't a good enough player to do that.

I did word it poorly, I see where I did that now.

His 19 goals resulted from playing a fair bit in the top 6.

Not many players get 19 ES goals playing in the bottom 6, it’s generally not a sustainable pace.

Like all things, I guess we shall see. I expect he’ll have more trouble maintaining premium ice time in Nashville, when he couldn’t do so in Chicago, where a top 6 role was there for the taking.
