The Oilers I expected that from, not you, Vegas.

To be fair, two of those were the Oilers. So, to be expected.

Vegas better come out steamed for the next game, but knowing our luck they'll lay another egg.

Every team currently in the playoff mix is gonna be a handful down the stretch. Flames just need to take care of their own business.

This loss stinks because Vegas did not blow that one IMO. Kings just somehow went into full out ####ing limited edition desperado god mode and managed to pull it off.

Vegas/LA was a great game. LA was by far the hungrier team Fleury is still an amazing goaltender.

Don't know about that, Vegas was a complete tire fire in their own zone for the last 5 minutes. And they seemed too content to dump the puck out without control and let the Kings come at them over and over again.

Vegas did not choke this one away. Kings just went into super unreal limited edition desperado god mode and it happened to pay off.

Vegas pretty much has 1st in the Pacific wrapped up, so they're not going to be as desperate as the teams who are on the bubble trying to get in. Hopefully they can at least beat some of the teams that the Flames are fighting with.

They failed to score on a 3 on 1 with all the time in the world, and then in the final 30-40 sec made a braindead d-zone turnover that resulted in LA absolutely pouring it on until Kopitar finally tied it.
That's quite the choke, if you ask me.

It was that damn plug defenceman Brayden McNabb who committed that egregious turnover.

Can't worry too much about the OOT scoreboard at this point, as there's still a decent number of games left. There will be good days and bad.
I can't imagine how nervous I'll be if playoff contention is in question in the last couple of games. That'd be butthole clenching for sure.

If the team we want to lose just wins normally that's one thing, but I'm getting tired of all these stupid last minute multiple goal come backs that are netting teams we are competing with crucial points.
The one tonight really stings, because it actually bumped us out of a playoff spot.

Legit question: Who thinks the Flames are capable of and would have the drive to mount that kind of pressure and come back against an average team late in third let alone VGK?

Yeah, I haven't seen that from the Flames late in a game this season. Not once.
Doesn't mean that can't happen in the last stretch with enough emotional investment and buy in from all the guys, but it's a bit concerning because in the past it was not uncommon to see the team snatch points from impending defeat in the dying minute/s at least a few times a season. It's better to not get behind to begin with, but those games happen. Would be encouraging to see some resolve similar to what the Kings showed tonight.

Bad pass causing the penalty in OT too.
