That's why it's a weak deadline I think is from the holdup of those two players. Nobody pulled the trigger on the next tier of players available hardly, seeing what would happen with those two first.

Weird day, I tend to think that most of the deals were over payments, not huge over payments but solid over payments.
Other then that the market didn't correct today, maybe the teams like the Habs and Oilers and others stuck to their guns believing that people would panic and pay a higher price just to get something done.
Not a great thing if you're holding onto a upcoming UFA while saying "la la la if I hold on someone will pay a lot la la la I like Milk"
