I just noticed Cammalleri has 10 points in his last 11 games. Could be the kind of bargain bin pickup that makes sense for our third line. Who knows, maybe even an upgrade on Frolik on the second line, I always thought he was solid with Backlund many years ago.

He is a legit UFA now correct?
He will sign with a NY based team. If Rangers are going for the quick rebuild they will probably sign him

Cammalleri on the 3rd line with Jankowski and Ferland would help this team.
Bennett - Monahan - Gaudreau
Tkachuk - Backlund - Frolik
Cammalleri - Jankowski - Ferland
Those lines are an upgrade on what we have now. Cammy is smart and ultra competitive. He’s also well respected by our management team, as they did try and re-sign him but New Jersey was willing to go 1 year longer than the Flames were.

Don't want Cammalleri. He doesn't fit the makeup of the team, has no defence, and doesn't score goals, which is what I think people are hoping he'd do. He has a bunch of second assists. Plus his 10 points include 3 last night, which is fine enough, but it's not like he's consistent. And that's with second line ice time, which he wouldn't see in Calgary.

The only thing I would like about squid returning is that one timer off the right side on the PP. Otherwise he is just not a fit imo.
