you were proposing to replace Brodie spot with Oduya, that is the part that is ridiculous, and if you weren't suggesting that and were suggesting bringing in another top 4 defenceman than my bad.

But what I saw was a number of line ups with Oduya having replaced Brodie on the backend with no other upgrade on defence, that is what I had a problem with, some of you not recognizing how far Oduya game had fallen that he could no longer play too 4 minutes..

If he didn’t have another year in his dealmit wouldn’t have shocked me especially if the Flames play the waiver game with lack of picks. That next year on his deal makes it an absolute no go

No, but I must admit watching the melt down on CP would be quite entertaining .

The fact that he is Alex Burrows makes it an absolute no go.

You move Kulak up to play with Hamonic and Oduya plays with Stone. Oduya falling is overblown, he is still a very capable 5-6 guy who is a + on a crappy Sens team.

Yup. No way he gets past the Kings. He’s exactly what they’d be looking for to make a playoff push.

They're tied in points percentage. The first tiebreaker is winning percentage, excluding shootout wins (i.e. ROW/GP). The Flames have 30 ROW to the Ducks 27 in an equal number of games. That puts the Flames ahead in the standings, which gives Anaheim the higher waiver priority.

I was the guy that in Stewart's draft year, thought he'd be a pretty good NHL player, this is why I don't get paid to watch hockey.

So Hamilton for Oduya is off the table then?

It’s a different type of rebuild too. I don’t think we’ve seen one in the salary cap era where one of the priorities was flat out moving money out for financial reasons.

Good for them, in the end. This is what being proactive, and dare I say “intellectually honest” with yourself about where the team is looks like.

Why do what Montreal did with Price? The Habs are a bloody mess now.

The Sens were a poorly constructed team that happened to go on a cinderella run last year. This year, their centre depth, and their poor defensive depth saw them drop to where they should be. Why bother wasting time and money going down a road that is crumbling apart?

I find it funny to watch the pundits weigh in about it being a failure by the Sens to be moving their best player while he’s in his prime...when those same pundits ridiculed Calgary for waiting too long to trade Iggy.

Not really interested in any of this waiver fodder. Chris Stwerat to the Flames? Time for the annual NOPE! So NOPE! NEEEEWWWWWWP.

Claim Stewart. How many goals as he scored against us? Having him on the team prevents this from happening.
