I'm jealous. I want snow here! It's cold, so I am happy, but it's raining. I can't wait for the first snow fall of the season!

wow I know it's freezing!!! I mean I broke out the gloves for a bit this afternoon. Man where's the 17 degree weather we had a week ago? This 0-3 degree weather is just too cold!

you know it's bad when it gets to the point of being so cold that a remote car starter won't work. i can't plug my car in, and it just seems silly that i can start my car with my key just fine, but the remote won't work when i need it the most

Believe it or not, but I was at an outdoor wedding near Canmore this weekend. Nobody got frost bite oddly enough, but the pastor's jaw almost froze up. I can guarantee this was a wedding that no one present will ever forget. It acutally wasn't that bad if you were dressed properly, which I was.

we got it at around -8 or -9 here in Vancouver and I never remember it being like this. I cant believe how cold it is. I can only imagine how you guys have it.
On the plus side, the boil water advisory has finally been lifted, that was a pain in the ass. Brushin your teeth with a bottle of Dasani is a pain in the ass.

The arctic deep freeze trapping Calgary is on track to break a 110-year-old weather record today, but the bitter cold is expected to ease in the coming days.

Surely the next ice age is just around the corner. Take that global warming!
We get our first blast of winter tomorrow. As someone who spends up tp 8 hours a day in it earning a living......yay!

You jackasses.... "global warming" is only part of climate change as a whole. So, maybe the reason why the winter is getting soooo freaking cold is because of climate change?

I'd take that trade. I would gladly go to Calgary or just out West and partake in the snowy and cold weather. I would take that over rain everyday of the week and twice on Sundays!! My husky feels the same way, wants snow really bad.

The only real problem I have with this weather right now is that the ice on the roads is better than the ice in the Honda Center.
And, fwiw, a picture I took of the TV a couple years ago while up near High Level. This is balmy by comparison. The wind chill (when it picked up) got around -60, iirc.
