Read an article that said teams have been looking at Nic Bjugstad. Can't see Florida getting rid of him for picks or prospects as they have turned things around. Maybe off season trade?

I believe I heard Grabner also has something like 7 empty net goals this year.

Ahhh... thank you. Actually kind of funny. And yes, I do feel a bit stupid. Sometimes people just need things explained a bit though and seeing as I’m not that big of a baseball fan, not getting the joke is understandable.
Cheers!

So thanks for trying to make me feel stupid, you and the OP. Perhaps when you guys want to stop being @$$holes, maybe then you can actually explain what I’m missing?

cap = parity between almost all teams not called Oilers and very bad trade activity levels.
I'd rather have the former, as the fan of a have not team.

Saad would be an excellent target, but I think the Hawks took him back because they plan to keep him for a long time. What about Toffoli?

Saad is far more realistic than Toffoli. The Kings just signed him last summer, they are in direct competition with us for a playoff spot, and are rumored to be looking tonadd a forward not subtract.
Hawks Bright Saad back to try and help Toews get going. He also had more term on his deal than Panarin and was likely a longer term fit. It certainly has not worked out and at $6M per for 4 more years I could see Chicago moving on.

Hope not. My fear is teams that flames are competing with pick up significant assets for playoff push ,and Tre tries to match them.

Saad is a possible target because the Hawks have fallen out of the race. Toffoli is an important part of the Kings roster, so I can't imagine them sending him to a divisional rival while they're competing with said team.
Or are you suggesting LA swap Toffoli for Saad (weird to propose a trade between two teams who aren't Calgary)? In which case, my point about Toffoli's importance to LA's push still stands.

Not sure I’d trade Brodie straight up for Saad. He’s a good player but it’s not like his contract is any kind of value contract. He’s having a bit of a down year offensively. I dunno, maybe I’m missing something here.

I would make that trade 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

I wonder if Bennet is being dangled as a piece. He is playing better, but isn’t providing the scoring that the Flames need.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
I think they want someone to play with Bennett, rather than moving him out for a scoring winger who would then have no one to play along side.

Interesting you would be so eager to trade a 4.65M 40pt Dman for a 6M 50pt forward. I don’t do that trade unless the Hawks retain salary but in this case they would be moving Saad to gain space.
What are people’s thoughts on either Bennett or Ferland for Saad?
Risky move for Calgary. Ferland has more points than Saad this year and Bennett is 4 years younger $4M cheaper and has more upside.
If Saad returns to being a 30 goal scorer then it would be worth it.

I'd sell high on Ferland. I feel that if he is with anyone else not named Gaudreu and Monahan, he's a bottom six winger.

Fernand or Bennett would not get you Saad. Saad is still a good player . His problem is that he is stuck with a regressing Toews.
Brodie would only be under contract for 2 more years and then be looking for a raise. Brodie for Saad would be the fair trade.

I highly doubt the flames are moving Bennett or feel an for saad. If they were going after him I’d imagine they are trying to add him to the top 9
I’d love to see something like
2019 first, stone, kylington
For saad
However I still doubt the hawks do that.
