I’m confused by what a post like this contributes to the conversation. All too often comments like this are over looked and become the tone setting post for the next few pages in every thread on CP.

Anyway... agree with the theme regarding hockey talk in that the Flames should stand pat. And please do not make a knee jerk reaction to the current standings and trade Bennett... The guy has more. Let him figure it out.

You do realize he is the same age as Gaudreau was when he was a rookie right? Do you understand Jankowski is 2 years older than Bennett? Lastly he missed an entire development year to injury.

Flames need to be sure to get the most they can outnof Bennett before selling him for nothing. Sven sucked in Calgary and made a decent career for himself in Van. Sam can make the Flames look far worse.

Personally I think they need to get a new coach and let thst coach work with Bennett. If he still can’t get it done then sell him for whatever but why do that now when we have this garbage coaching staff?

If Pens can move out a contract, would be interested in Plekanec, but depends on what Montreal wants to do with him

Age is great and all but i tend to look more at experience. He has more than both Gaudreau and Janko as you gave examples for and i dont see much that leads me to believe hes going to breakout. He is what he is to me. The sooner you deal him the more of a chance the other gm sees him as a high first rounder that they can fix.
Longer time goes by the more my thought is cemented; he is what he is.

I think Buffalo is why the talk about Gillies from LeBrun popped up a few weeks ago. He makes sense for them.

I’d love Kane coming to town if an extension was signed. He’s fast, he plays with an edge, he’s been active in the Buffalo community, and he’s a known a-hole. Quite frankly, we’re not big enough a-holes.
