Default Day 9 (PM of Saturday Feb 17 - AM of Sunday Feb 18)

At 17:05 Kevin Koe’s rink takes on Switzerland in a match that should be on CBC.

At 18:00 the Qualification runs for the Men’s Ski Slopestyle begin. Alex Bellemare will be the 2nd skier, Teal Harle will ski 8th, Evan McEachran will be the 14th skier, and Alex Beaulieu-Marchand is the 24th skier. I believe that this will be on TSN 2.

Beginning at 18:15 is the first run of the Men’s Giant Slalom. Erik Read, Trevor Philp, Phillip Brown, and James Crawford are the Canadians competing. I believe this will be on TSN 1, 3, and 4.

At 22:05 Rachel Homan’s rink continues to try and claw their way back into contention in a match against Switzerland that should be on TSN 1, 3, and 4.

The Men’s 4x10km Relay in Cross Country is scheduled for 23:15 and should be on Sportsnet 1.

At 00:40 The Czech Republic takes on Switzerland in Men’s Hockey and Japan will face Sweden in Women’s Hockey.

At 04:00 in Speed Skating the Quarter-Finals in the Men’s Team Pursuit are scheduled to begin. Canada will be in the 3rd pairing skating head to head against Japan.

The first of 4 runs in the Two-Man Bobsleigh begins at 04:05 on TSN 2, Canada has 3 teams competing in this event. The overall World Cup Champion Justin Kripps will pilot Canada, his brakeman will be Alex Kopacz. Christopher Spring will be the pilot for Canada 2 in his 3rd Olympics (2nd as a Canadian, he moved from Australia after Vancouver), Lascelles Brown who won a Silver Medal in this event in Turin with Pierre Lueders will be the brakeman. Canada 3 features former football players Nick Poloniato and Jesse Lumsden. Run 2 is scheduled for 05:40.

Beginning at 04:15 is the Men’s 15km Mass Start in Biathlon. Scott Gow is the lone Canadian in the event.

Also at 04:15 is the beginning of the Final for Men’s Aerials Olivier Rochon is the only Canadian in the field and will be the 7th skier.

Scheduled to start at 04:56 is the Women’s 500m Final in Speed Skating. Heather McLean skates in the 12th pairing and Marsha Hudey will be in the 13th pairing.

At 05:10 the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team will face South Korea and it should be on CBC. Also at this time Sweden will be taking on Finland.

Wow, I've never seen rocks so close they needed to measure three times to be sure.

What would happen if they were literally too close to call? Would it be a blank end?

The stones cancel each other out and they only count those closer than the tied stones.

The loss to Sweden was understandable. Swedes were lights out and Canada still played OK. But I’d don’t get the feeling Koe was all that confident in his game and his calls. Obviously you want to peak at the right time so hopefully that happens. Maybe scratching out a come from behind victory would help.

Sam Girard won gold and Boutin won bronze in speed skating.

Is this old news? The channel showed live.

Like you were saying earlier though, a ton of high scores today. 89 would only get him 9th if we base it on qualification runs.

Could be different. More falls in the final already. Plus with 89 you can go for broke later.
