I’m sure glad Sportsnet switched right over to the Edmonton game during intermission, rather then giving us...oh I don’t know... 2 secs of post game coverage
Totally agree that was absolutely pathetic! Did they even post the 3 stars before shifting to Oiler game?
What a win! Definitely a top 5 biggest wins of the season!
No more occasional shifts of 93-77-19. They are ready now!
Lazar or Hathaway should be tried with Frolik and Backlund. Versteeg or Brouwer can be tried there when their healthy. Backlund will make them all better.
Liked the emotion from GG on that borderline roughing by Hamilton. We need a GIF of his reaction!

We had people complaining a few weeks back that Burke was being silent.
I don't know about that. I've heard Burke speak several times, in person; he's very entertaining and doesn't hold back usually.

For a change, both the PP (2/3) & PK (5/5) were very solid.
The Flames out-hit, out-blocked, and only had 2 giveaways.
Gaudreau & Tkachuk continue their streaks.

I only caught the second, in which the flames looked pretty damn good. Happpy that Lazar netted a big one.
Was the Nashville pushback late due to some serious flames blunders, or just a good team pushing back with a the man-advantage helping out?
Either way, GFG! Makes the evening of contemplating my dogs lifespan a little easier. And, yes, let’s make more noise for the boys at home. In general, events around town resemble morgues and synagogues than they do fun, enjoyable events.

I thought it was the wings tonight ugh not looking forward to the kryptonite Flames.
Quote:
No Smith, and his backup isn’t a rookie , thankfully, but…..
Hutton was A game, let’s not do that game over…. Puhleese?
Not sure that the heart needs two of them in a week…. lol

Put this in the game preview but… based on watching Calgary in Boston they will come out very fast and mix it up physically.
Have to get a couple and put them behind the 8 ball so they can’t play that way taking those chances.
Quote:
Here's the thing about the Atlanta Calgary Flames. Seems like every time they come to town, they're looking to win the game. So I think it's important that the Preds go into tonight looking for a win. A glaring hole in Calgary's armour is that they allow goals. In fact, they've lost just about every single game in which they've allowed more goals than they've scored. So that could be our route to victory tonight.
Quote:
I like the flames. But I also hope we squash all their hopes and dreams.
Quote:
Find it funny reading the 10-20 minutes comment. The Flames are notorious for playing 1 maybe 1.5 periods of hockey. So that will be interesting.
Flames fans hold the Preds in fairly high regards... so there would be no whining. That was also the case last game vs Boston. Beat by the better team..
Our whining is because of inconsistent play throughout 60 minutes and our PP sucks.
Still making his absence felt

I’m gonna be there tonight!! We got these tickets a while ago because I wanted to see Jagr play before he retired :-/ I just want to see the boys come out firing on all cylinders tonight!! Let’s do this!!
Quote:
Are you me? Because that’s exactly why I bought tickets for this game, plus I’m on vacation this week, and I found some reseller tickets for $30 each.
Anyway, no Jagr, but hoping for a W tonight.

I miss Jagr

Pretty disappointing effort so far

It looks like they just expect to turn it on and Calgary to lay down.

I'm pretty mad. We're playing like hot garbage.
Lazar with a Shocker
Quote:
Well ####ity ####.
Quote:
"That one looked like it eluded Rinne."
Yes, Mason. That is how goals happen.
Quote:
So Calgary still owns the Preds I see.
Quote:
That was bad.
Quote:
Calgary is our kryptonite. We just never seem to play well against them for some reason. So I'm not surprised. The only thing surprising is the lack of energy/spunk from the team lately. Guess the grid of the long season is finally creeping up on the team. Going to need a spark to get this team going again to where they are dominating teams. Overall I would say their effort in this game though was better than the last one at least for the first two periods. This third period hasn't been great though but hopefully they can turn it around.

Seemed to go inside his glove which was inside the goal.
But it was close as hell.
EDIT: after that one angle nope. It was soooo close.

That was tantalizingly close.
We have got to actually play so we don't need to make a desperate comeback every night.

No goal

Damn… so close..

So close. But not a goal. It went off the heel of his glove.

Weirdly quiet in here after a great game and a win. What gives?
I think the score flattered Nashville a bit, because we outplayed them for most of the game. I guess that just shows that even on an "off" night for them, they can still be pretty dangerous.

It's never too soon to start watching the Oilers lose.
Well this was a fun night the Flames invited STH to watch this game at the Chrysler Club. Prizes, food and drink with 300 Flames brethren & a game that went down to the wire. Great time!
That 3 way play between Bennett, Tkachuk, Jankowski was executed to perfection & Ritich save of the game just Wow

Maybe this was discussed by commentators early on or in the GT, but I missed the 1st period. Was there any special reason for so many Flames fans at the arena? And who is that group in funny Flames jackets?
