Credit to Bruins. They’ve built a good team.
The playoff push continues for the Flames. Not expecting it to be easy.

Boston's youth movement has really taken people by surprise and for a GM that was getting a ton of flack, Sweeney somehow seems to have put together a pretty good (and often underrated) team.
Boston is the best team for points percentage since December 1 I believe (somebody may check me on that). They just don't really lose a lot. Marchand and Bergeron are incredible too, obviously.
So in a nutshell, that's just a tough team for Calgary to beat. If we're honest Boston is the better team.

Just saw the trip on Rittich. Did that guy pay the price? Seemed like the turning point.

Brad, do something about the cockeyed PP. Fire Cameron, acquire a sniper but do something!!! This is not acceptable!!

The worst part about this season is that it feels like even if they get into the playoffs, they are going absolutely nowhere with this power play. Solid to excellent 5-5 team sewered by an absolutely brutal power play.

Brodie is one of the softest players to every play for this team, the man is a mess in his own end and never takes the body. Every game it’s the same thing with him. Turnover machine and gets walked at least once. If Hoffman for Brodie is on the table, please take it

All that needs to happen is the Powerplay getting fixed and then you put teams away. Even if you go 2 for 5 on the man advantage and it's a different game. Why can't they figure that out?

I can't tolerate this anymore.

It's not even maddening anymore. I'm sad and disappointed they won't make a change. The strategy and structure are entirely predictable, every single team knows what they are going to try.
Ottawa fired Cameron for an anemic powerplay, why was he even considered as a hire?
So bummed out.

Quite possibly the worst PP coach in the history of this franchise, and that's saying a lot.

You think the PP would just suddenly be awesome with a new coach? I highly doubt it.
PP was top 10 with Cameron and Versteeg...I think personal has more to do with it.

This seems to happen to most lines that get matched against Bergeron-Marchand-Pastrnak
Still, a lot of their mistakes weren't from being outplayed, but by being outcompeted. Bruins were harder on pucks and much more focused on winning

The Flames PP certainly didn't make him pay any price.

I would bet the Flames have been in position to get a 2 goal lead in almost each of their last 10 or so losses, and failed to do so despite having several PPs when up by 1 goal.
Flames go up by 2 in most of those games and we probably have another 4-5 wins out of those 10 losses easy. The abysmal PP is costing us so many points this year.

Boston is just a better team...period.
Once they got the lead there was no space/time for the Flames to do much of anything.
Patrice Bergeron is simply the most under rated player in the game. He is an absolute super star and does everything well.
Just shows me how far the Flames are away from being contenders....which is fine as i never expected them to be among the elite of the league at this point anyhow. Still a good amount of work to be done by BT.

Even? That would be a 40% PP

Forget awesome, I'd like to see them generate even a shot on net. PP #4 they had none. That's just not good enough.

Exactly, 1 powerplay goal a game should not be that difficult. They have had a lot of opportunities on the PP lately and squander it away by passing around the perimeter.

It's been said a bunch of times already, but if the Flames had an NHL-caliber PP, they'd very likely be battling Vegas for 1st in the division.
