Such a great effort by the Flames...down 2 on 2 soft/lucky goals

Team just stuck with it and absolutely dominated the final two periods

Imo you see how rittich does with a few starts in a row and don't rush Smith back. The playoff race is tight but I think the worst outcome possible would be to get into the playoffs with a starter who has a nagging injury but is trying to fight through it. Sets us up for an elliott situation where you don't want to pull him but need to

It's not Frolik that's to blame. It's Cameron, this game should have been over way earlier. But Cameron PP things.

say Smith is out long term. Now Gillies and Rittich are carrying the load up top. Heard Parsons may be injured, now Stockon is left with who...Schneider and McDonald? Or just McDonald.

Frolik was a key part of the winning goal, and the tying goal. He was a monster on the PK tonight.

Bittersweet comeback victory without a doubt. Definitely looked like a pulled groined to some degree. Hopefully he heals quick, but I also have full confidence that Rittich can continue his strong play and give us quality starts.

I have confidence that Rittich can fill in for the short term. Bigger issue is who takes the backup spot if Smith is out long term?

How about we blame Smith's injury on Tkachuk instead? After all, if he hadn't scored, the Islanders wouldn't have been attacking and Smith wouldn't have had to react to that puck.
