Nash says he included teams in Canada in his 12 team approved trade list if he thought they had a chance at winning the cup and were a good fit for his family. Also said he is willing to consider teams that are not on his list.

Lightning are interested in McDonagh and the Rangers might ask for top flight prospects like Katchouk, Raddysh, or Foote. He also suggests the Rangers try and get Sergachev

Watching that 1st period closely, I’m not sure I’d want any Senator. Hoffman was invisible out there and he might be more expensive then Hamonic to acquire. Zack Smith looked very average out there and I’m not sure he’d help the Benentt - Jankowski line. His contract would be a long one to endure as well.

The Leafs are good and the Sens effectively called it a year when they announced Dorion’s extension. It’s tough sledding right now for those guys so I wouldn’t read much into tonight’s performances.

Rick Nash would be a hell of a fit, especially on the PP.

			HNIC:
Dorion's extension came after meeting with Melnyk and presenting his plan for bringing the Senators back to respectability
They are not going to call it a rebuild but it will look like a rebuild - lots of players will be moved for future pieces
 Karlsson will not be traded.
Most trade related action for the Senators right now is on Brassard.

Pens and Sharks interested in Plekanec.
Questionable if Thornton comes back in time for meaningful games

Two teams have inquired about JVR but told by Leafs he is not available.
No contract talks with JVR and Leafs
JVR has told the leafs no hometown discount so only way to lower AAV is to give him lots of term.

Leafs have inquired on Maroon but Friedman is unsure where Maroon fits on the Leafs
TB very interested in Maroon as Cooper was his coach in juniors

Coyotes testing market on Max Domi - they are not looking to dump him but looking to see if any team is willing to give him a fresh start

Boston along with Tampa interested in McDonagh

Flyers and Sabres are scouting each other

Predators and Stars leading the Rick Nash sweepstake
Preds also interested in Mike Green

I’m not even specifically talking about effort level, I’m talking about their skills and ability. Hoffman doesn’t play tough in his own zone and Zack Smith’s skating and puck skills seem to be falling quickly from where he was a few years ago. The most noticeable and impressive player for me has been Ryan Dzingel. I’d trade for him if he was available. Excellent skater, hard shot, engaged in puck battles and made some slick plays from the right side.

Feel like the Flames would be looking at Domi, especially with Tre and Maloney at the helm, wonder what the return would be.

Random thought: is it possible to acquire the rights of Nicushkin (sp?) and try and bring him back to North America?

Well as long as you watched closely in determining their worth based on a handful of shifts.

Well I’m not receiving that scout money to watch these games. But it wasn’t even close as to who I thought was more effective out there. Dzingel has a chance to be an excellent player and the Flames are interested in any Senator, I’m hoping it’s him.

He is not eligible to play this season. As an RFA, deadline to sign him was December 1st.

What would you think fans in Arizona would have to say about Bennett?

Domi has a 52 point season under his belt.

Not saying I know what Rick Nash is thinking, but if anyone doesn't believe that the Jets are the best Canadian team they haven't been paying attention.
