True. They would have to go on one hell of a crazy run, while at the same time have a few of those other teams go on extended losing skids and fall out of the race. It's definitely looking bleak for them.

Nice to see the win. Thought Smith, Gaudreau, Backlund, Giordano and hamonic had terrific games.
Brodie, tkatchuk, Bennett, Jankowski.. Not so much.

Chicago is going to miss the playoffs this year. West is brutally competitive and they have too many teams to pass. Hopefully the Flames can get on a bit of a run here. Not much separating the 6 to 11 teams right now. One win is the difference between hosting a playoff series or being in the lottery.

Quite happy with the game. Entertaining, fast-paced and not so many mistakes. Like the comeback and the defensive side of the puck most of the night. A little burp at the end, but they had an extra goal in hand so no harm done. Smith looked a little beat up, so hope he's OK.
And finally the NHL got it right - three times. (Well, sort of - still think it might have been kicked in anyway, but at least they got the interference call.)

Those hockey deities sure like keeping the Flames on the bubble. Could so easily be nipping at Vegas' heels right now. But a mix of perfectly timed self sabotage and poor breaks for 6 in a row keeps them in the logjam. Maybe one day they'll break free..

Bennett with a terrible game and noticeable for all the wrong reasons. Kid needs a game in the press box to hopefully give him some perspective. Third line seemed to be disjointed and hemmed in their zone often.

They looked awful tonight, especially Bennett. The Flames need to get this line going to be successful down the stretch.
