How hilarious would it be if we saw an NHL player lift the Stanley Cup and say "I'd like to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ".

If I’m the NFL, I’m none too happy with Collingsworth now. He’s still going on about it. I’d be suggesting to my broadcast partner that it might be time to put him out to the pasture.

I wonder if Rube still thinks the Eagles should have signed Kaepernick and hates on Douglas Pedersen?

Johnny Gaudreau must be pumped about this. Good thing the Flames aren't playing tomorrow night.

Not even close. Montana was better in every Super Bowl and never had to cheat to win. Anybody who thinks Brady is better than Montana was never watched Montana play. His numbers in the SuperBowl absolutely kill Brady's.

I agree, and its not even debateable.
Montana was great, but nothing even close to this.
In 4 Superbowls, Montana threw for 1142 yards and 11 TD's.
Brady in his last 3 Superbowls has thrown for 1301 yards and 9 TD's. In his 8 SB's, 2576 yds 18 TDs. Absurd numbers.

Yeah I thought he was trying to manufacture controversy that wasn't really there as both TD's IMO were legit and if overturned then there would have been controversy.

Ya, it isn't even debatable. Even Brady himself will tell you Montana was in a league of his own.

The first was debateable, but it looked good to me and even if it wasn’t there really wasn’t enough to overturn. The second was ridiculous. That was as clear of a touchdown as there is.
Do the Pats win that game if Malcolm Butler is playing? Maybe. That’s a bigger controversy to me.

He really did embarrass him self tonight. First by going off on the touchdown with the “bobble“. He didn’t even try to play devils advocate. Then on the subsequent Philly touchdown where he claimed that it was obviously no touchdown. It was like he didn’t even know the rule. The receiver clearly caught the ball made a football play, took several steps and then went into the end zone. There was absolutely no question, none, zero, that he was a runner at that point and that it would stand as a TD.
I actually mentioned at the start of the fourth quarter that both play by play announcers were showing very little emotion for what was one of the greatest Super Bowl’s of all time. We’ve had multiple close Super Bowl’s in the last 15 years but we’ve almost never had an offensive shootout. In fact I can’t remember a Super Bowl in my lifetime that was an offensive showdown like this. I don’t just mean yards, which was obviously a record, I also mean the back-and-forth offensive domination. And they were acting like it was a boring game in September.

Good game. It was one of those where I hated both teams so though happy to see the Patriots lose wasn't enthused about the Eagles win. Except for individual guys like Foles. Nice story for him even if it sucked for Wentz. Down and out and gets another chance and man he showed nerves of steel. Super game and I'm not sure about his contract situation but if he is a free agent then man he just cashed in bigtime.

Terry Bradshaw won 4 Super Bowls in a 6 season period.
Who can match that?

It doesn't matter who the QB was in the Super Bowl they dominated the AFC (Simms, Williams, Rypien, etc.).

The first one has been called not a catch on so many occasions this year. No controversy on the second one I dont think. Clear that he became a runner- I think the NE saftey tackling his feet mid run sort of made it seem like fewer steps than it actually was.

Second was enough for them to look at it. Made right call in the end, not like they even had to overturn it. Heck they have to with it being a scoring play. Not really ridiculous.
