I get the sense that Montreal won’t be going full rebuild unless Price moves on. If we are looking at them as a trade partner does a Brodie for Galchenyuk swap make sense?
Galchenyuk is another left shot, but only 23 and has scored 30 in the past. Money and term are pretty even.

I think they are comparable for sure ~ I would do that trade and think its fair but we would be loaded on the left side forwards no doubt.
I saw that on Twitter. What would or who would the analytics guys be looking at?
It looks like Lepore and Flynn are also analytics guys (the Jackets don't have any info about Jensen on their site), so maybe they're all in Montreal for an analytics get together or something and just decided to check out the game.

Josh Leivo has asked Toronto for a trade if the Leafs don't plan to use him more.
Asking Prices are high.
Pacioretty asking price as many as 4 pieces: 1st, 2nd, warm roster body, and top prospect - which is a non starter for many teams.
Any team looking for a scorer might have to wait until deadline day for the prices to actually drop.
Nikita Soshnikov's conditioning stint is likely to showcase him and he will likely be gone by the time that is done.
Buffalo still asking for a lot for Kane, but unlike Pacioretty who has term on his contract, sense is Kane's price will fall.
Jets considering a top 6 forward (along with maybe a depth guy on D)
Kypreos thinks Nash might be a fit with Schiefle and Wheeler but is not sure if they are on his No trade list.
Rangers could ask Nash for his no trade list this week.
Rangers could trade Nash and Grabner this season and they might re-sign back in New York in the off season.
Flames can bring back Jagr at any time, but sense is they are not focused on that and not really looking to bring him back.
If he plays well and depending on their situation, they might change their mind

Leivo was drafted by the Leafs when Burke was GM and he is a right shot winger. Wouldn't be too expensive for some depth.
I know many people would hate another reclamation project, but just saying.
Would actually be a huge upgrade to our forth line. Guys a solid player just cant seem to stay in the line-up. Id throw them klimchuk or something similar.

I don't think the Habs are interested in moving Galchenyuk, the guy I would rather move Brodie for on the Habs is Gallagher. A smaller version of Matty Tkachuk that plays RW? Yes please!

Who does Gallagher replace in the lineup and where do you slot him in?

The Blueshirts are also likely to pick up 50 percent of the remainder of premier rental property Rick Nash’s full-season $7.8 million cap hit, with Nashville, Columbus, Dallas, St. Louis, San Jose and perhaps Pittsburgh as relevant parties of the other part.
The Coyotes, we’ve learned, have made it known that Max Domi, with three goals this season and 12 in the two years following his 18-goal rookie season, is there for the taking.
I wonder what the price for Josh Anderson in CBJ would be. I know he signed a deal late before the season started. He's who I want to pick up. 16 goals this year and is a big physical RW.
Might have to add to Bennett but could end up being a good change for both.
1. Bennett can play Top 6
2. Tkachuk-Domi can potentially be a solid pairing
Domi has not done much in the past couple of years so a 1 for 1 deal could make sense but I rather keep Bennett. What I actually would like is to add Domi to play on the Bennett-Janko line.
I am going to go with unreal blockbuster here. What do the Flames have to add to Hamilton to get Domi and Hjalmmerson?
