I hereby declare it time, in the shattered wake of this blown-lead losing streak, to finally activate the most terrifying weapon of mass destruction CP has ever seen: OG Birthday Juju.
Feb 1, 2014 - Flames 4, Wild 3 (OT)
Feb 2, 2015 - Flames 5, Jets 2
Feb 3, 2016 - Flames 4, Hurricanes 1
Feb 1, 2017 - Flames 5, Wild 1
Feb 3, 2018 - ???
May the Hockey Gods favor us tonight, and may the Groundhog Day bday streak hold true once again.

Not optimistic as I've seen no signs yet that things might change. Simply hoping that our kindergarten coach doesn't (once again) get schooled. Maybe someone needs to be at the 'Dome to remind him, if things get rough, to take a time out -- a huge sign right in front of him across the rink maybe?

Just win the damn game.
6 game skid turns back into points in 12 of the last 14 just like that.

I honestly don't know what to expect. Really! Let's play for the full sixty and see what comes of it. Go Flames!

Expecting a loss, hoping for a win.
It's a home game before hitting the road. I am leaning towards a brutal game, followed by closed door team meetings, breaking sticks, and/or drinking on trains to trigger them to play well for a stretch of 5-10 games.
They, of course, then regress back to the mediocre team that the are.

We match up well with the Hawks, time to admit that team isn’t scaring anybody anymore.
Play physical and we should be able to get a win here

I expect Smith to come back strong and after several strong outings the rest of the team will fall flat sadly.... Hoping otherwise though

Looking for something to break this slide, Our Hero and the rest of the pWo have taken tonight's business to the dreaded Office of Destruction, where the shredder has been sharpened and fine-tuned for maximum carnage:
Go Flams.

Looking forward to hearing some excuses from Gulutzan fanboys about why we lost this game.
Be creative, guys.

At some point there has to be a game where they gain back some confidence in what they're doing on the ice individually.
I don't know how old a lot of you are, but back in the Johnson era the Flames lost 11 in a row, a lot of those games were close and the Flames should of won, but there was a moment in each game where things went against them and they stumbled and lost. But they convinced themselves that they would come out of it because they were doing enough things to win, but luck was against them.
In the last game of the streak, and going off of memory, they got hammered by the Whalers I think who put up 9 against them on home ice.
The next game they looked like absolute trash, they were a team with 0 confidence and they were tentative and I think it was Vernon's first start, and they found a way to bumble into a overtime win, and they recovered from there.
I have a similar feeling here.
If they can win a game despite it all, they'll gain some confidence and get moving.
