I thought that was a good 1st period. A little unlucky to be tied, but then Tampa found a way to put a lot of pucks towards the net. Good things happen when you do that.

Pretty even period for the most part. Flames are playing a heavy game tonight and they're skating hard, which is good to see.

Where have you gone Sean DeMonahan?? A nation turns its lonely eyes to you. Sung to the tune of Simon and Garfunkel’s classic “Mrs Robinson”.

At the game but walked in after the Ferland goal, armed we were getting worked since I sat down until a little push at the end. How was the beginning?

Flames are kinda playing like butt

Giving the puck away way too easily when it takes them way too much effort to get it back

There's another team out there too, and it just so happens that they're the best (2nd best?) team in the entire league. It's pretty hard to do whatever you want to when you're playing a really good team. They're going to make their plays too.

Unlucky start Calgary was down 2 men early but had a great kill. Tampa kinda took over after that until the last 5:00. I'd say mostly even period.

I only caught the end of the period and didn't see johnny get boarded.

I think what upset me more was brouwer bumping the guy lightly, looking around for a second like a deer caught in some headlights, then skating off

please tell me he turned around and beat the piss out of that guy

Always like the little extra insight from former players on stuff like that.

They're doing a decent job keeping Tampa to the outside, with a few bad bounces and weird mistakes leading to grade A chances.

Would be nice if Monahan played with the same fire as Chucky.... Not his style unfortunately... Was he on the ice in the first?

That critique by Sarich on Hamilton is warranted. It's not the first time I've seen the puck go out into the slot off Dougie's skates on a rim around play. It's led to some glorious chances for the opposition, and there's really no reason for it to happen.
