"I'm here in Kladno, and my only and main goal is to recover, get back to form as soon as possible, to get healthy and help our team to reach the playoffs and try to advance to the [top Czech] league," he said.
There's a chance, if he gets healthy enough, that he could be recalled by Calgary for the NHL playoffs. But that was far from his thoughts, he said.
"My first goal is to get healthy, to start training properly and be able to enjoy hockey, which I can't do without training," Jagr said. "If I'm healthy and train, I know that I'll be hungry to manage something."
Very wide ranging presser after his first practice. Again, as mentioned here when he interviewed after hours, he's much more comfortable speaking Czech then English, which is probably why so forthright.
Some interesting tidbits in there.
Heres the google translate version of brownas link. Never embedded links before, so hope this works.
Yeah, here's probably the part that ESPN pulled out.
Jagr entered on the list of extra-league Třinec, but he would only start in the event of failure of Kladno in the first league. "When we signed the contract and the transfer card in Kladno, it was the last chance I can go into extralize when our team falls or the season is over and we have come to the conclusion that I could go back to play off to Calgary if it did not happen, then there is a chance to continue the season in Třinec, "said Jįgr.
He did go further to say that his priority is to get Kladno into playoffs first. And he had to sign with them yesterday, and play 15 games to be able to play playoffs. But the Flames are an option as is this higher division club Trinec this season still to, all depending on health and circumstances over the next month.
His video from these links shows him to be pretty at ease with everything.

This part confuses me. Looking at their schedule, it seems like Kladno only has 7 games left in their season. If he has to play 15 in order to be eligible for the playoffs, I don't see how it's possible.

Maybe its 15 (including playoffs) to play next year in the top league if Kladno gets promoted. Or for him to play in the top league with that Trinec outfit. Dont know, it is a bit confusing, but he had to be signed yesterday, and, it sounds like he may just take a few shifts in these early games to be able to achieve the 15 games played, for whatever fulfilling that requirement allows him to do down the road. Bottom line is, as suspected, the option to come back to the Flames is there on the radar, however remote.
Somewhat confusing but in another Calgary twist, once defector Petr Nedved is playing his last game today against Jagr in his return.
Nedved last played in the top league a few years ago but I guess plays with a lower division team off and on? Anyway his jersey is getting retired and it's his last game.
Kladno up 2-0 after 1 and Jagr with 2 assists Edit 2:1,Nedved with the goal.
After a long time another good Czech article about Flames. Interview with BSD - David Rittich. Even the nickname BSD is now known in the Czech Republic :-)
The google translate is sometimes off, but I hope you can get the point :-)

fun article to see it from a Czech perspective... Google translate is an awesome technology but sometimes you get sentences that make you take pause.

Those celebrations, that's clear, that's emotions. But going through the whole course is about being a good teammate. And when something happens, I can kill boys and I do not care what's going on. We are one family and we have the same goal. I would not take it as emotional, but rather as a good bunch of people. I think we could fight each other.

Recently against Philadelphia in a 5: 5 draw goal, the [Dome] exploded in such a way that I had not experienced it yet. I'll remember that for the rest of my life.
This one is great.

Provides a deeper insight into Rittich when he can speak freely in his native language. Like the mix of humble personality, steadfast dedication to improving his game and emotional side.
Although Smith has struggled there is clearly a bond going on that should help Rittich develop further with his mentor.
They certainly share a fiery nature and very competitive personalities if end of game celebrations are examples.
Seeing significant improvement in Rittich's puckhandling ability. He even tried for empty net recently in Smitty fashion. We know where that inspiration is coming from.
