I doubt it is Trudeau, he's too handsome.

It’s true. He is handsome and therefore above reproach.

No matter who it is, we have to remember that there is no presumption of innocence since that is only for the courts. Make the CBC, the Liberals and the NDP live with what they have been spouting for the last few days

Isn’t infowars considered to be alt-right? Warren Kinsella is a liberal

I'm talking about the colossal jump in logic made by the alt-right OP and the borderline libelous thread title.

Just curious, what part of naming a thread "Justin Trudeau Scandal?" when referencing a tweet that reads "Intern scandal brewing in Ottawa as the #metoo# movement meets Justin Trudeau. Story soon." is a colossal jump in logic? Further, how is that libel on the OP's part?

I think you're overreacting.

The thread title ("Justin Trudeau Scandal?) and the phrasing "Some very strong rumours coming from Ottawa of Justin Trudeau being involved in a scandal" make a significant logical leap. They imply Trudeau himself is the subject of the scandal when none of the sources cited make that implication.

OP is basically proferring the notion that Trudeau is something of a sexual predator. Which, at this point, is totally indefensible.

Edit: To clarify, the tweet clearly means that Trudeau is going to have to deal with the metoo movement in regards to someone in his government, or in his inside circle. The leap is connecting it explicitly to him (which the OP does).

There's definitely some significant leaps, but they're not in the OP.

The tweet in the OP literally mentions Trudeau.

I think it is fair enough that if there are accusations coming out we can have a chat about it.

This is a new article, but I think the interview would have pre-dated today's chatter.
Quote:
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says women who come forward with complaints of sexual assault and harassment must be supported and believed.
And he's confident no one will be able to accuse him of the kinds of behaviour that have brought down several high-profile politicians this week.
"I've been very, very careful all my life to be thoughtful, to be respectful of people's space and people's headspace as well," he told CBC Radio's The House, in an interview airing Saturday.
When asked if any of his past actions could be misconstrued, Trudeau said he didn't think so.

"This is something that I'm not new to. I've been working on issues around sexual assault for over 25 years.

Yeah I'm sure JT is losing all sorts of money from the thread title.

I don't think it's Trudeau as it would have been used already. From Kinsellas blog it sounds like a conservative / liberal / media agreement not to report as his behaviour has been known for 3 years. The only conservative you would have traded Trudeau during an election is Harper.

You sure gave up innocent until proven guilty pretty fast so you could take shots at the other teams hypocracy. Your correct statement given your previous position should have been he's innocent until proven guilty.

Go Local Sports Team!!!

This has got me thinking of if their is a hypothetical situation where you the PM could have an affair with a staff member and be able to obtain free consent? I think it would be difficult and certainly need to involve no coercion or alcohol and explicit verbal communication consent

I've been wondering about who might fit the criteria here of a truly shocking revelation.

First off, I can't believe that, given our political climate and the fact that the supposed three-year timeline contained a hotly contested federal election, that the LPC and CPC would agree with one another not to talk about it. It just wouldn't happen. The person is likely tangentially related to politics, and more specifically linked to Trudeau.

So, when I think of people who fit the criteria of:

- Venerated by Canadians
- Publicly close to politics, and to Trudeau in particular
- Works in an industry or position where situations like these are known to occur
- Has a sterling enough reputation that allegations to this effect would seem shocking
- Powerful enough to keep the allegations hidden

There are very few people who would fit all of these. However, if you then expand it by one more:

- No longer around to defend himself, therefore making it safer to go public with the allegations

That leaves me with one name. I really, really hope he isn't it.
