Overall a decent game vs the Canadiens that ends in a 2-2 tie. I wish I had a day off to rest up some players as i'm sure alot of GM's do. Up next tomorrow vs the Kings.......game story in a bit.

Canadiens play an extra 5 minutes again, 6 times we've gone to OT. We have yet to win (0-3-3). But, considering the trade came through without the coaches being able to implement a proper line-up, and we were resting both Vokoun and Timonen, we feel confident our new roster will develop some improved chemistry. Of course, that doesn't mean GM Beerfund plans on sitting at the bar. Arrangements have been made to have the office wet bar restocked regularily over the next few days in order to give Beerfund the opportunity to work the phones, with out saccrificing valuable drinking time.
Canadiens lines are open, very few (read: no) players are untouchable. However, understand that our club is still sitting in the top 10 and we feel that we have underperformed, to this point. Panic is not a word used around Montreal, all moves are focussed on the end goal.

Jets lose another one goal game. We played a very decent game except for the fact that the Rags fired 35 shots towards Caron. The bad news is Andrew Cassels left the game in the 2nd period and will be out for a few days. Don MacLean will draw back into the lineup.
Vlad Orszagh has been a healthy scratch for the past few games and I would like to move him for a prospect.

Yotes fight back for tie against the "Goon Squad"
Down by 2 goals with 3 minutes left it appeared the Coyotes were a beaten team, both literally and figuratively.
2 goals (Sykora & Kubina) 0:52 seconds apart lifted the game into a tie and it finished that way.
After the game GM Drunk was quite upset over two plays from Dallas players. "What a classy team those Stars! Not one but 2 boarding majors, we now have 2 injured players at a crucial time. I hope the CPHL suspends those S.O.B.s"
Both Star players Mike Commodore and Kevin Bieksa received boarding game misconducts.
The Coyotes have finally climbed the standings and hold a playoff position for the 1st time this season.

A huge, injury-filled tie against the Oilers for the team. Perhaps this can translate into some continued success for the Devils franchise!

Kings manage a tie against the Jackets. A weary and tired team goes again tomorrow vs the Thrash. Hopefully no more injuries!

Pretty blah game for the Jackets. We finally manage to have a game where we keep the shots down, and don't give up a goal in the third period. But other than that, not much to report. Powerplay went 1-1 and we held them to an 0 for 5. Seems like every game either goes to overtime or is a one goal game for us. GM obviously needs to get creative and think of a couple moves to take that extra step forward. More likely the GM fuggered things up so badly that he moved the team a step backwards!

Avs win another close one over the Ducks. The recent depth acquisition of Kilger pays off as he nets two. Guerin and Cleary are nearly ready to return, which will greatly help the Avs through this heinous stretch of games.

Sabres storm back against Nords, rubber match tomorrow
Sabres 4 Nords 2
Owing to a quirk in the schedule Buffalo and Quebec face off 3 times in 5 days. on Sunday it was the Sabres winning 4-2, newcomer Jan Hrdina scoring his first as a Sabre.
The two teams face off again tomorrow, both teams marquee goalies are fatigues. Giguere fatigues very easily these days unfortunately

Leafs beat Bruins 4-3....
Nice to see Pavel Datsyuk decided to start playing this year. He's had a terrible season so far but was great tonight, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist. The newly 2nd line featuring the 2 newcomers, York and Ohlund, scored all 4 goals for the Leafs tonight.
Turco wasn't great in net but was good enough. Leafs outshot their opponent and deserved the 2 points they got.

Flames make it two in a row. whoohooo
against one of the poorer teams in the NHL. Not sure if the sim gods are liking the Flames again, but these were two wins that we really needed.
Flames are still not making the grade and I am truly wondering why not. its not like we arent getting our shots on goal. I now know how KG feels.!!
Rebuild is not in the works yet, but if the right offer for the right player comes along then maybe we might.
til then, the flames continue to plug along.
Maybe we are like the NHL flames and start of slowly..

COYOTES MOUNT LATE COMEBACK TO TIE STARS!
Alex Tanguay and the Dallas Stars were well on their way to recording their 3rd victory in 4 games when the Phoenix Coyotes exploded with 2 quick third period goals to steal a point from the Stars on Sunday night. Tanguay who registered 2 goals and 2 assists moved into a first place tie with the Penguins Jason Spezza for most points among CPHL centers.
Pavel Kubina and Petr Sykora scored goals in the last 3 minutes to salvage the tie for the Coyotes in a game that featured both starters being pulled, and at times a lot of rough stuff from the Dallas side.
GM Shah responded to GM Drunk's comments regarding the Stars two boarding majors. "I think Mike was under the influence yet again when he called our players SOBs. Mike Commodore and Kevin Bieksa are not players that intend to injure others."
Up Next: The Stars will take on the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. The Hurricanes won the only previous meeting this season between the two squads.
Game Stars
1 - Alex Tanguay (STA)
2 - Pavel Kubina (COY)
3 - Michal Handzus (COY)

Rangers 3 - Jets 2
With 4 players on the IR the Rangers came into this game hoping to play a solid defensive game and keep it close. Rangers however fired 35 shots on Jets Goalie Sebastien Caron but only managed to score three times.
Game Stars
1 - Pascal Dupuis (RAN)
2 - Rod Brind'Amour (RAN)
3 - Radoslav Suchy (JET)
News and Notes
M-A Bergeron, Ray Whitney, Andre Roy and Jochen Hecht are on the IR
Rangers acquired Brad Isbister and Aaron Downey for draft picks. Both of these moves were done to help out the team get through the injury bug.
