Heartbreak city, tears on the waterfront, but all the same I'm pretty mellow about it. Really bad play by a rusty Frolik that ruined a well-placed game against a tough opponent. Nothing more. Should have used the timeout.

The team will be fine if they stick with it.

Managerial incompetence to have Dave Cameron anywhere near this team...

Am I the only one who thinks that Brodie is also to blame on that play? He was going to receive the pass but decided to let it go to smith for some reason.

I mean it was a dumb play by Frolik but imo Brodie should shoulder some of that blame.

Another big FU to the home fans as well.

Good thing we have like 50 road games over the next few months...

I think the Flames played a hell of a game. They couldn't have executed the coach's plan much better than they did...and in the end they only scored 2 goals while playing as well as they could. They did everything their coach asked of them, but again - perfect hockey does not exist. The PP could have saved them, but it didn't because it's incompetent. If your system relies on you to win the special teams battle, then you better win the special teams battle and this team never does.

Scoring only 2 goals effectively demands perfect hockey. Perfection does not exist.
Yes. The style of play is terrible.

I wouldn't make trades yet. You have to go with a firing first. The same #### keeps happening to different players. Single deflating mistakes that cost games.

Trade a dman if that doesn't help.

Gaudreau just makes me nervous... everytime he has the puck I'm just hoping he doesn't get stripped of it and cause an odd man rush, instead of hoping he's going to create something dangerous. Unless he has space and time, I find him ineffective and a liability in the defensive zone. Just my thoughts.

Have to put it straight - they'll waste the team's full potential as long as this staff is manning the bench.

But hey, continue.

lol wat

He probably wasn't expecting to face a shot from his own forward

Gotta love watching the knights coach communicating with the assistants or players on literally every shot of him. Making adjustments, pointing out opportunities and quite simply just coaching.

I want to say, based on the Oilers loss and this one, that their heads are up their butts and the season is lost. Not this hyperbolic type OMG the seasons done! But a very calm, collected point of view on how fragile this team is. Not enough Tkachuks and Smiths to save this years iteration of the Flames to save themselves from themselves.

It's really bad when you're constantly inundated with comments like "they played a good game," "We played the right way but we didn't get the bounces"

Bottom line, you're obviously not playing well enough to contend for a playoff spot let alone contend for the cup.

You don't pass it to a defenceman who is standing right in front of his own net......

The team can't win at home. If they stick with it, we'll be out of the playoff race.

Haha, they were a 90 seconds away from being second in the division tonight. That's how people think they can be a playoff team.

Gut wrenching stuff tonight.

What the hell was Frolik doing. That was beyond stupid, and then GG leaves that line out there and they get scored on immediately again to seal the loss. How can you leave Frolik on the ice after that stupid play!!!

I am really starting to wonder about GG and staff. I was a huge supporter, but this Flames team just has zero killer instinct. 5 games in a row we let a one goal lead turn into a loss. This one hurts.
