For some reason, the new path under the bridge is not yet opened. I'm really hoping that this isn't a one off.

You ride it like you used to when there was no path under the bridge.

Anyone want to meet up at the winter bike to work day event on Feb 9 and scarf down a pancake?

I’m planning to be there. I don’t recall pancakes last year for it, I do remember pancakes at Bike to Work day though.

Avoided the pathway today, too many ice fields on the north part of it. Tired of crashing. Hoping my multiple 311s get it taken care of today.

Does a place like Ridley's ever do blowout sales on older stock? I've been watching their prices on 2017 Defys for a while now, and the most I've seen off the regular price is about 200 bucks. I'm still not sure I want to spend over $2000 on a bike. Id love to find a deal before the snow melts.

i bought my defy from Ridley's for that couple hundred off. I haven't seen them drop much more than that.

I will tell you though, I love my Defy. 2k is a lot to spend, but you won't regret it. Also realize you will need to buy pedals and shoes.

Right now the deep discounts would be on any remaining 2016 models. If they have any.

I bought my bike a couple years ago in March. That's when the stores seem to have the big sales. Trying to clear all the old stock for good.

Finally tried the FulGaz app. It's fun, but I don't think I'd subscribe. It has a bunch of recognizable rides, like Banff, Whistler, Highwood Pass, etc, as well as the big ones like Alps D'Huez. It controls the smart trainer really well I found. It can be glitchy, so I would recommend downloading the course before riding it.

I did buy a new trainer. I sold my Tacx and went with Wahoo and I am really liking it. I do find it gives quite a bit more resistance than the Tacx did.

I also signed up to Beta test VirtuGo. It's supposed to be a cross between Zwift and Trainerroad. I'm on a waiting list. I did this with Zwift when it first came out. You get to ride for free until it's brought to market.

I 311'd last week once the zoo path was back open, still not cleared as of yesterday.

They ignored my 311 as well. Maybe I need to send pictures of the bruises I got when I crashed on the ice I keep telling them about. I haven't ridden the path this week, maybe they'll get around to it today.

Centre and 4stNW were sketchy as hell with all the snow/snirt blown around last night.

Things melted up nicely on the path for yesterday afternoon, I didn't ride today as I had an early morning dentist appointment. In retrospect I should have gone for it, up in Varsity by Tops pizza. I did the ride in the summer for my last appointment so really no excuse.

For a private sidewalk issue, I put it as a "slip and fall" and it was dealt with immediately. Not sure if that's an option for public paths.
