Precisely this. The population of the U.S. is grossly higher than Canada and so will be all crime rates in comparison.

That's not how crime rates work.

The clue is right there in the words. Folks might want to look up what per capita means too.

As almost none of the hundreds of kids I worked with back in the 90's in the local YDC have survived into their 30's I doubt these two will live long either, the mortality rate for any kind of hood rat is eye wateringly high in truth

I think you need to google what "rate" means.

We should have some kind of forced castration or similar for sex offenders that cannot be rehabilitated. Otherwise it's only a matter of time before it happens again.

Castration has little effect on their propensity to hurt women

I can't believe I just read a discussion on crime rate per person being higher in the United States due to population.

I don't mean any offense but can everyone involved maybe delete their posts and we can just pretend it didn't happen?

maybe he meant that the usa population is larger so there's more large population centres? i think thats also false though because something like 90 or 95% of the canadian population lives within x km's of the american border (were densely populated in canada)

Canada is more urbanized than the U.S., with a greater proportion of our population living in large urban centres.

Yeah, but it would be higher for the US because there are so many more people there.
(Yes, I'm totally kidding)
