Well neither team scored in OT...it was certainly exciting though. Chances were even. Janko was so close to slipping that one under the pad.

Flames lost end of story, talking about the puck almost went in etc doesn't really matter they need to close out games when they are leading. This team is going to get slaughtered if they sneak into the playoffs.

Matthew should have a letter on his jersey for the emotion he plays with EVERY NIGHT alone. Points aside, the kid does whatever it takes out there pretty much every shift, he gets under the skin of every team we play against and truly shows the passion game in and game out.

Brouwer should have his stripped immediately but we all know that wont happen. I hope next year Matthew has one, but I fear if GG is back we wont see any changes.

Tkachuk for Captain. #### the rest of our players who don't try half as hard. #### the rest of the league who hates this guy.

I don't get it. The losing streak, pretty much the bottom 6 has done absolutely nothing. Like garbage, just wasting time hoping the top 6 scores. When the hell is Gully going to mix those lines up?

I might be alone on this because I've been repeatedly on his case the last few games but Hathaway is quickly turning into Bouma 2.0 and I feel he needs to either get moved to the 4th line or scratched.

Only if they end up playing the Oilers. For some reason that garbage team is in their heads, much like the Anaheim curse.

Thankfully the Oilers won't make the playoffs though, so no worries.

Off topic but what do people make of Lazar? He had 3 or 4 solid opportunities. Obviously he can't convert but the fact that he got the chances is a good thing no?

Maybe he can have a Byron like turn around?

Monahan was invisible along with Ferland lastnight. Johnny was flying he looked like the only one that cared on that line. Monahan is so soft, one trick pony who scores. Ferland is the toughest guy on the team but everytime they play Edmonton he doesn't do a damn thing. I really like Tkachuks game this season imo he should be the next Captain of this team.

If McDavid recieved a 10 min misconduct in OT, should he have been eligible for the shootout?

Totally agree with you. I would like Lazar moved to the third line right now. He's been showing lots of progression as of late.

From nhl.com he got it for “abuse of officials” in the SO. After the shootout goal he pointed up and told the refs to check it and other chirping.

Abuse of officials should mean some sort of extra hearing. He can sit beside Kassian, who got one for the physical abuse of officials, though it wasn’t singled out as such, for the phone call hearing.

The kid seems to care a lot more than the coach about that loss. Good on him. And I agree, he just might be a future captain on this team.

Gulutzan's comments on the other hand suggest he wasn't bothered much by what went on in that game, particularly in the 2nd period. No mention of the atrocious, soul-sucking PP or the fact that they blew a 2-0 lead when they should have put the hammer down and finished the Oilers off. Seems like Tkachuk and Gully saw two different games last night.

My goodness was Stone ever dreadful last night.

First, he loses a battle to Puljiwhateveritis last night, then as he tries to hit the guy he bounces off him and falls on his ass like a little toddler. Then the Coilers score.

Then he (and Kulak) loses a footrace to Milan Lucic of all people (possibly the slowest skater on the no goods) despite having a good 20 foot head start position wise.

Freaking embarrassing. Guy should've been benched right after Poolparty made him his bitch.

A pylon would've been just as effective in Michael Stone's place last night.
