Flames need to fed energy into the crowd first. We know how loud and excited it can get in there in the playoffs, so the crowd is fully capable of it. But their play at home hasn't inspired for the roof to be blown off on regular occasion.
And to be fair, this is the regular season where the expectations is playoffs at the minimum. Mix in a corporate culture, and the dome energy isn't gonna be that high unless the Flames are having a great game on the goal sheet.

You could hear a pin drop to end the first. This was definitely the Flames game to lose

Well two points would certainly be better but the Oilers getting 2 doesn't matter at all

Oh man. Don't bother stirring it up with those fans! They're already miserable that their team is awful, they're just trying to suck you into it with them.
Ignoring it will just drive them more mad cause they know all they have lately is the BoA.

Great! I just can't see the team with this coach can go far. May be play-off first round out. I think this year we have a great chance to win all looking to other teams.

And instead of taking advantage of a power play and stepping on their throats...they let ‘em back in to the game. Just as they’ve done so many times this season, even during the win streak.
Where is the killer instinct? It gets distinguished by the horrible power play.

Mony misses an EN on the PP
Its a fine line, that would have been game over and a different narrative completely

Sure, but do I have to come in here rantingnand calling the whole team garbage and the whole game a disaster, or stomping out of the game thread because the game doesn’t go exactly as expected, and demand people be fired because they lost some points lately?
It doesn’t really need to be black and white extreme of they are amaze balls or total dog #### due to win or loss, some of us prefer to see the overall play, good and bad when we decide just how bothered to be about a loss.
It doesnt make us less of a fan because we aren’t all doom and gloom negative lining up for the suicide booth. I’ve been way more upset with other losses because they deserved to lose, they were solidly in this game and fought back even, I can live with that.
I’d be more embarrassed to e a fan who walks out of a gt at the slightest sign of adversity, this isn’t even close to the worst things have been as a flames fan. Let’s not make a mountain out of a hill.
My 2 cents but still pgt are a good chuckle
Ps - the pp is this teams biggest issue, fix that and a lot of things start to click, it really sucks all momentum out of them

All our good players looked great even strength. Johnny created a chance every second shift. Our entire lineup actually had solid energy.
As far as a back-to-back game against a team we matchup poorly against, the result isn’t that bad.

Can someone explain to me the hard on GG has for Brouwer? The guy is not a good hockey player but Gulutzan insists on relying on Brouwer like he's Patrice Bergeron.
I don't blame Brouwer at all he is what he is, not that good. He does his best but is not the go to guy that GG for some bizarre reason thinks he is. Makes me think Gulutzan is bat#### crazy.

There is no way that the personnel on this team can't be coached to the point of being one of the better PP in the league. I don't want to see players traded. Coaches need to fix this.

Accept it? Dude, it's pro sports and we're fans. We don't get a lot of say. No one is happy about tonight. But at the end of the year, a 4 point in 4 game stretch won't be particularly noteworthy.

I'll take a shot, he's the front of the net guy. And digs pucks out and gets dirty so the other 4 don't need to as much on the PP.
Ferland does that on the second PP line. Phaneuf did that for a while when here.
If that's the pp strategy you're going to employ, (and that can be debated) those are the only two forwards with the size to be the screen and the toughness to win those puck battles behind the net.
