No they weren't. Flames had just as many prime scoring chances in OT as the Oilers.

The Calgary Flames! Making sure that little children who are so sad that their team doesn't win very much don't go home crying for once! Moral victories!

And if you are gonna lose 4 in a row OT/SO is the way to do it.
So glad we have people here that can do math. We fully realize they have attained 4 of a possible 8 points with two of those games against two of the worst two teams in the league. It's funny how some of you are happy they are simply hanging in when the object is to ascend up the standings and separate from teams you are battling with.

Steinberg has the chances at 23-12 tonight for the Flames.

No finish, listless PP, and a bad minute of hockey does the Flames in tonight.

Would love to see two moves this weekend - New PP coach and somehow get Hoffman without giving up too much.

Yeah, that may have been the greatest OT of all time (had the Flames won)

seriously though, this is why I can't take some of these guys seriously...Result sucks but the Flames played a good game

2nd half of a back to back, backup goalie, lost the coinflip

Unless this team can learn about intensity and actually play 60 minutes every night and get control of their disgusting PP efforts, they will just be easy fodder in the playoffs if they get there. And with them not making any distance between them and the teams around them, they will be sitting on the outside watching just like the Oilers.

Great game to attend, man that place is loud. Couldn't even hear that stupid horn when they scored.

If this is a slump, I'll take it.

What do you realistically think it would take to land Hoffman? I don't think we have what it takes.

The problem is that they were up 2-0 on a team that was down and out and they let them back in. Giving up leads has been a reoccurring problem with this team. You shouldn't be happy about getting a loser point out of a game you were up by 2 at the halfway mark.

I'll wager it's less than your out-pouring in this thread alone.

It must be tiresome being you. Honestly.
No point debating him.

They were also missing RNH and Larssen

Because his blind dumps up the boards cost us 4 scoring chances and a lot of possession time. Did you watch the game? In the future, he is number 7.

If getting rid of the Ducks curse means starting an Oilers curse, I want the Ducks curse back...

This is another problem. The Dome is so damn quiet, even Harvey with his drum and the noise-o-meter can't save the Flames crowds from themselves. The silence is deafening; and lately every time we play another Canadian team the loser fans are much louder than Flames fans. It's sick.

You have to wonder if the Flames players notice and think "well they don't get fired up either way, so I don't really give a crap."
