This power play has to change. It's pathetic. At this point, it rests 100% on the coaching staff.

It's insane that an 11 game point streak can be this irritating. But lol it really is.

Sucks to lose to these clowns again, but that was a hell of a 3rd period in terms of pure entertainment value. Edmonton clearly wanted this game badly, and now they get to hoist their fake Stanley Cup and celebrate with streamers and champagne before going back to being the dumpster fire that they are.
Flames are really gripping their sticks right now when it comes to their offence. No finish whatsoever.
The PP is a massive problem right now, and could potentially cost them a playoff spot if they don't get it figured out soon. So many chances to put this game away with the man advantage, and they just pissed it away. Cameron needs to go.
Thank god we at least got a point.

I am mad about this, but I understand the season of a playoff team is full of ups and downs, but mostly ups. Its a slog.
The only ones that recognize this as the cherry on top of their season are bottom feeders.
Sucks but I’ll take the former pain over the latter joy.

Are you sure you're actually not a Canucks fan? Are you not somewhat upset after this loss or is your loyalty to this team a farce?

I love that we're losing all these OT games after Gully came out and said they effectively play for OT in the 3rd periods because "we feel we're a good 3 on 3 team". Playing for OT is loser hockey, and you deserve to lose.

Nice no effort Monahan in OT and especially in the SO what a garbage effort it was nothing a pee wee goalie would have saved that weak shot.

On the bright side, with the OOT scoreboard looking pretty decent, it's like getting 3 points tonight :S

The three goats
3) Brouwer, completely useless in both ends, usually it's only in one but toda he sucked everywhere
2) Cameron, 0-4 against the worst PK of ALL TIME. Pack your ####
1) Monahan, less than 0 effort, simple mistakes repeated throughout the game, he doesn't deserve ice time right now

This should've been over at 3-0 when the Flames scored on the first or second PP that they had in the first and early in the second. It could've then been 7 because the Oilers were done.
But, PP lets them down (massive understatement against this junk team), and for the 4th straight game, keeps a team into the game that, other then the Jets, had no business being in the game, and 5 minutes later its tied up.
Thankfully Benning is softer somehow then Backlund and we got that back.
0-6-2 for GG against the Oilers. Fireable for that alone....as I said in the GDT, Guy Charron coach this team for 16 total games and he had a 1-0-1 record against the Oilers, and that was a Flames team that year that didn't come close to the playoffs.

That's not how I saw it tonight at all. The Flames had 3 breakaways in OT? Gaudreau, Jankowski, and Brodie.
At least a couple other close in high danger chances too. They just can't score when it matters right now.

I don't know if I like the Ferland and to a lesser extent Monahan in the shootout decisions. Monahan has been struggling lately and Ferland hasn't ever really been a good shootout guy.
PP comes up emptyhanded again. Monahan could have had that one, that hit the post, but he's not really firing on all cylinders right now.
I actually like GG but the coaching decisions are frustrating me lately.
It's hard to complain about a 7-0-4 record in last 11 but ffshow many times have we blown leads or not won a game because our PP is garbage?
We need something to change if we want to make any noise this year - a winger to bolster the top 9 and PP or maybe just get a new PP coach.

Calgary could've spent the entire game on the PP and still lost lol
