Stone would be a home-run for us in terms of a great fit at RW.

I'd have to think that with his age, the Sens would covet him the way we do Tkachuk.

It's why it seems like a pipe dream. Even in re-building he's exactly the kind of player they'd want to keep so I can't see the ask for him being anything less than astronomical.

Lukewarm. Not sure giving up assets for a bottom six player does a whole lot of good. He's feisty, a right shot, can play centre or wing... but is on the smaller side.

If they take Brouwer or Stajan back alongside something else, might be okay. Can't see that happening though.

I really want to hold on to Bennett and I don’t like Phaneuf but Stone is so awesome that deal would be tough to pass up. Depends on the prospect. I probably turn it down if it is one of Valimaki, Fox, Andersson, Dube, Parsons, or Gillies.

I do that deal for sure. Dion is still a good defender and Stone would become our second-best forward.

Probably need a little more retained to make the salaries make sense going forward. Would be hard to fit Phaneuf and a big contract for Stone with Tkachuk coming up after next year.

If the prospect is not one of Parsons or Valimaki I do that deal for sure. I like Sam Bennett a lot but I like Stone better and I will take Dion over Brodie any day of the week.

Yup, depending on the prospect but Stone is a beauty. Better player than both Bennett and Brodie. Would probably become our 3rd best player after Gio and Johnny. His 2 way game is phenomenal

Had me until Dion over Brodie. Yuck.

Also I would say I dont just like Stone better, I like him a hell of a lot better. As much as we keep hoping for Bennett to show some progression, it just doesnt seem like its gonna happen here. Might be best for Bennett to start over somewhere else to be honest. I still think he can be a really good player but he’s gonna have to start showing some consistent progression rather than these spurts of good play. He’s kinda disappeared again unfortunately.
