I don't think so. They only moved Jagr to IR because Monahan was sick and they needed an extra forward just in case.
Probably just going to run with 22 unless someone is sick or injured.

I'd like to see Hrivik in the games more. I liked what I saw from him in pre-season and it's been limited viewings at the NHL ever since. I think he has decent speed, strong hockey sense, adequate defense, and has a little pop on offense. A solid all-around option for the bottom 6 who could move up in a pinch.

Agreed. Used his size well, didn’t shy away from contact and most cases initiated. He read the play very well and sheltered the puck decently. You can tell he likes the possession game. When he gets his timing sorted and more familiar with Flames players he is going to be beast jumping into open areas and winning battles for loose pucks.

Mangiapane kinda reminds me of Lee Stempniak.
Every time we draft smaller guy, I think we secretly hope its the next Johnny Gaudreau.
Manigiapane seems like more of a straight line player, he's not super fast, but he goes to the right areas and has a nose for the net. Decent but not elite playmaking abilities and stickhandling. He doesn't have the brain, stickhandling, or outright speed of the elite small guys, I think he will top out as a middle to bottom 6 complimentary player. Thats not a bad thing.
I remember Burke saying that If Stempniak was 4 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier he would be a star (Not a direct quote). I see similarities with Mangiapane.

Question.. have you watched him in the AHL or is this based on his time with the Flames? If only for his time with the Flames (the only amount that I've watched him), I hope that he can develop his game more just like Jankowski and Ferland have. Their games are night and day different from they first came up (tentative) to what they are now (confident).

I thought Tod Button's comparison for Mangiapane when they drafted him was Cogliano, which would be great for a 6th round pick considering the Oilers used a first round pick on Cogliano.

I miss Stempniak. I'd rather have kept him than re-sign Stajan, or sign Brouwer or Raymond.

He Mangiapane is definitely becoming my favourite. He has a helluva shot, high iq.....he is going to be good
