since baseball raided the NHL's past with the Colorado Rockies, Seattle should raid MLB's past and go with Seattle Pilots.

I believe in the Jays.
|
They should call themselves the Thunder... as both a nod to the Thunderbirds (who I assume will be moving) and a revenge naming to appropriate the name of Oklahoma City (who were once the SuperSonics).
But of the names listed... Kraken, 100% Kraken.

Eagles is the name of my Seattle team on NHL18. Would like to see it or some other reference to pacific NW and/or native culture. Totems would be cool too.

Firebirds seems like a logical rename for the Flames.
But because its an expansion team, not a relocation, not sure Firebirds makes much sense.
Didn't there used to be a Seattle Totems team ages ago? That seems to make sense. Evergreens works too. "Fear the Fir"

I think the league basically took that name off the table when they renamed the divisions.

The arena should be called the SEA TURTLE.
Then their tag line would be:
SEA TTLE - what's missing? UR!

I thought the same thing but apparently there is a Junior Totems team in Seattle right now.
http://www.seattlejrtotems.com/
None the less I'm sure it will be Evergreens, until the Army complains for some reason and then it will be Wintergreens

The Seattle Microsofts. Or, because I assume Seattlelites don't know too much about hockey, the Seattle Pucks and Sticks.

I'm not sure it would be an issue.
People have problems with racist names like Redskins and logos like the Indians' (also their name).
I don't think there's really much issue over using objects or words or legends, and I think doing it respectfully is the key. If the logo was a cartoon Native person with a feather and a hockey stick, yeah no. But if it's a logo that is respectful and representative of the culture, I don't think there are issues.
Like the Native art in the Canadian flag logo in 2010. Or the Canucks logo itself.

Alternatively, I'd like to see the Seattle Rock. Lots of music history there and I think it would be something different. Always thought the NLL team name was awesome. I wonder if they would allow it.
