Even if Williams doesn't screw up there, and miss it totally, Diggs has a really good chance of taking him and himself out of bounds as they were just two or three yards away from the sidelines and there was still three or four seconds left. Either way, unbelievable clutch throw, memories of Brett Favre all but gone

Only explanation is that the guy was worried about pass interference and he thought the ball maybe was overthrown so he wanted to avoid contact.
But he was the last guy back so shouldn’t have done anything or been anywhere near the ball, just played centre field around the 10 and made the tackle of the guy inbounds.

And he took out the only other guy on the Saints that maybe could’ve got the guy.

Should’ve been in more of a prevent defense than that too.

I don't watch a lot of regular season NFL games and only watch playoffs. Is Case Keenum a backup QB or is he a Vikings starting QB?

What yardage would that have been? I'm just shocked Williams dropped his head to where he couldn't see.

Just make a basic tackle in bounds. He is in the air, it becomes a basic tackle

What a finish. Unreal. Happy for the Vikings and hope they go all the way.
Just a great day of football.

I don't know what that defender was thinking.
He wasn't going for the ball. He could have just waited to tackle him. Yes that catch puts them in FG range but it isn't game over by any stretch.

Bizarre play. He's going to replay that one for a loooong time.

I think he broke on the ball and then changed his mind and thought it wasnt going to be caught, so avoided contact so as not to draw a penalty that would've set up a Fg.

As they said on post game, as the Saints took a timeout just before the play and the message was likely to the secondary to not take a pass interference call.

Tackle him in bounds wins the game for the saints. Terrible D on that play.

5.5 point spread. That knee on the two point conversion won or lost a lot of people a lot of money.
Well done Vegas on that spread
