Default Survivor - Post Merge

Pretty standard episode tonight. Johnathan couldn't do anything but flip over and since he wants to stay in the game, he did what he had to do. I have a feeling Candice is going to throw a nut next week and judging by the preview, it's a good one. My boy Ozzy's still owning everyone at the competitions. If him and Yul get together, there's no stopping them. That's all for now.

... And I love Parvati

Jonathon didn't have to flip, he could have pretened to go along with yul and tell them to vote Nate and then he decides to vote Yul.

Yul would have had to use his idol and Nate goes home.

It would have made it 4 on 4, but Jonathon would be targeted next week then. So Jonathon was screwed, and now that he's ****ed off everyone he has no chance of winning the money.

Jonathan was scrwed either way. That was one of the better tribal councils I have seen in awhile. The looks on Candace, Adam and Parvati when the vote came down was priceless. Yul made a great move showing Jonathan the idol, that was his only play and it worked to perfection.

Yep...this season has some great twists....I think Yul is gonna get screwed...I dont think I would have let as many players know about the hidden idol. Jonathon will use that against Yul yet.
I think Nates final comments had to be the most vile Ive heard yet. He would have done the same thing in the same place.

I don;t think that Jonathan is in a position to screw Yul. He will probably tell Candace, Parvati and Adam why he did what he did and the idol being Yul's will come out next week, but I dont think that will effect Yul's future in the game, because the alliance of Candace, Parvati and Adam don't have the votes to force him to use it, and even if Jonathan flips back and he forces him to use it, another part of that pretty people alliance would have to go because they would have the second most votes. I think with last night's flip, Yul has secured at least a final four spot.

By the way, was there ever any doubt that Ozzy would win that challenge. The guy can climb trees like no other. Candace did put up a good fight though.

I love how Nate was talking about how he and Adam make the decesions, and then he got axed. Ha, guess you don't make the decesions.

PS - Candance reminds me of Paris Hilton (looks only) - Especially when she was wearing that hat last night.

If you stuck to the channel long enough, you would have seen Nate giving one of the greatest post-game bitter blow-ups in Survivor history . . . . . . . a Susan Hawk moment.

I love how Nate goes nuts when he had been wanting Jonathan's head on the chopping block for 3 votes. Dump Adam next week, watch Candace meltdown, lose her will to play, but be kept around since she won't be a big a threat as Jonathan.

My guess, next 3 to go, in order: Adam, Jonathan, Candace

Well I think that as Yul said it would be wise to take Jonathon to the final 2....everyone hates him anyways so it would be VERY wise to keep him in it.

Now that we're nearing the end of this thing, can we safely say that the racial overtones that made the start of this season so controversial has actually been brilliantly carried off?

It got minorities involved in more than a token way, which should be welcomed, and, in the end, the show seems to be demonstrating that, by and large, race seems to have turned out to be an almost non-existent factor in the general machinations of the game.

Had Jon not aligned with Yul and Yul knew that he wasn't going to, Jonathan would have been gone. It was imperative for Jon to at the very least make Yul beilieve he was voting with him. Jon did vote with him and screwed his former mates and joined his former-former mates.

Last night's episode turned this season around, and I want to see Jonathan make the final 2 just so I can see Nate rip him in the final speech.

Yeah, the race gimmick for this season hasnt come into effect at all. Prime example was last night when Nate and Ozzy bonded pretty much instantly, or when Nate told Yul he was a classy guy. The issue of race is completely gone and while it would have been interesting to see if race would be a factor if the original tribes stayed the same for longer than two episodes, it's still been a pretty intriguig season.

Maybe I'm off base here, but I think that the with each castaway being filmed 24 hours a day, does a person's true colors come out?? For all we know, Adam or Jonathan is a complete racist, but that would never come out because they don't want the public knowing. This whole "reality" TV term is silly, it's not reality when the people have the choice to represent themselves a certain way.

Yes, I know. But if he waid he was going to vote for Nate and then voted Yul, Nate would have been gone and then Jon the next week.

I disagree....when these people are filmed 24 hrs a day...wouldn't they start to just think it is everyday life and not really care what is being said?

Good point, I just don't know how "real" the people are being in "reality" TV.

Does Adam not look like he and Chris Pronger were seperated at birth?
I can't stand that guy. Glad to see his gigantic bird-trapping gum-flappers shut up in disbelief.

Actually, on the other hand, I've often felt while watching that the caucasians - at least Jonathon and Candace - are being edited as (at best) being uncomfortable with the other ethnicities and at worse being downright exlcusionary.

Jonathon and Candace (both whites) leave their post-switch tribe to go back to their old group whom they were "comfortable with" ... after they arrive the caucasians band together and oust three members of other ethnic groups in a row, ending with Jonathon choose Nate to go because "[he] doesn't trust Nate". Maybe it's me being overly sensitive, but it does seem like they're still playing it up that perhaps some of the caucasians are not comfortable in their situation.

Of course, it's just as likely that they were more comfortable being with the people they started the game with - who happen to be white - and the producers are editing the show in a way that makes it seem otherwise.
