That Bonnaroo lineup is hilariously bad. Yuck.

There's a lot of weak festivals so far. It's probably going to make the ones that do pull out a decent lineup sell out quick and/or be overcrowded.
Shaky Knees is pretty good but I have no desire to go to Atlanta.

Boston Calling looks alright, too, but do I want to fly across the continent for a music festival? I'm not hoping for much out of Sasquatch this year seeing as it's a Live Nation festival now. There's a new festival in Stanley Park in Vancouver this year so I'm hoping that gets some good acts.

Sasquatch will also probably be hampered by Bottlerock and Boston Calling being the same weekend which is too bad because I prefer a festival with a bit more of an immersive experience than a stage in a lot with a fence around it.

What would be really awesome is if every summer festival line-up wasn't a shuffle of every other summer festival line-up.

This. It seems that The Killers, Eminem, and Jack White are the only headliners this year.

Not sure I totally agree. Compared to the rest of the festivals it seems right on par if not a bit better. 2 unique sets from bon iver is awesome.

Well I haven't really seen a lineup yet that has me itching with FOMO, so you might be right. Compared to pre-Live Nation Bonnaroo lineups, it's super weak.

There's only one lineup that would give me FOMO at this point and it would be any lineup that has Daft Punk in it.

The last one was Pemberton rebirth with Outkast, Soundgarden, Deadmau5, Kendrick and Frank Ocean....and I went. That was a great year.

That might also be my problem. I've pretty much checked off most of my bucket list bands and I'm definitely behind the times a bit when it comes to new music. That and I really am not into EDM.

I'm told the Sled Island curator could be announced next week.

I’m looking forward to Sziget’s 2018 lineup. I’ve been to the past 6 years in a row and will be back in Hungary for vacation again for it this year. It’s alwasy a great and diverse lineup there.

This upcoming Tuesday. They always announce the Sled curator on the third week of January.

The lineups have never been quite as good as what 2013's was on paper (IMO, anyway), but it's always an automatic early-bird buy for me since it's pretty much the only time any of those types of acts bother performing in Calgary.
