"The Lifestyle" refers to swingers, at least that is what my swinger friends told me when they asked if my wife and I wanted to get involved.
This is a nudist event, not a swinger event.

You guys are such strong supporters of the event, hope you and the kids have a good time

I don't think you could catagorize most as strong supporters or attendees in this thread. I think the argument being raised is that it isn't child endangerment or negligence to take a child to this event therefore the state shouldn't intervene.

I looked at the picture, she wasn't playing with herself, it's ladies' legs and lower torso from the side (she's laying on her stomach) and her underwear is down around her feet. You can't see anything.
I guess one could say it's a bit suggestive, though since the event was an adults only book reading of erotic literature that seems appropriate.

I can't recall any CPer saying they are against this event...if you want to lump me in with that guy you obviously don't know me.

But, how do you deal with change rooms and showers then? Are people in constant fear of pedophiles hiding in there staring at children?
The fear of pedophiles seems overblown.

You're apparently fine with this event. So I have a question, why would you want to go to an event where there are naked children?

That is not it...and the Naked Girls Reading group also promote an event with reading of children's books using the same image, not kidding
again not offended by the image, but don't give me a lecture on nudity vs. sexuality
Calgary city councilor I believe said something about concerns over images they use to promote their events online...they have likely cleaned things up a bit because I can no long find the image

I think people who are okay with it, are not going because there is naked children.

A better question would be: what forces you to avoid any place there might be a nude child?
I can’t say it makes sense to avoid a place where you might see a naked body. Do you stare in change rooms? Do you stare at breastfeeding mothers? Do you stare at nude beaches? I don’t. And if you don’t, then I can’t imagine why nudity would even bother you if you’re not looking at it.

The NGR group did not promote a reading of children’s books with the same image, they used an image of popular children’s books. Their group is also unaffiliated, 18+, and is probably where you saw the image (if you’re thinking of the image of the book that seems to be standing in for a vagina, it’s on that group’s page, not the Nuder Recreation page. Different organisations).
I haven’t seen a councillor say that though, and by all accounts there doesn’t seem to be evidence they had suggestive images. You’ve got to have some sort of link.

Can't find it, maybe they removed it because it was a mistake by someone who didn't know how to use Facebook?

You need to step back a bit. I wasn't lecturing you or anyone, I posted a description of the photo that I'd found, and then added my own thoughts on the appropriate of what I'd found.

I guess I simply wouldn’t even think about their presence one way or another. When I think about nudism, my mind doesn’t go to some dark place.

I heard the quote clip on the radio on my drive home, basically saying he was concerned about the sexualized imagery used to promote family events, but as you say there's no evidence of that.
There is mention of a children's story reading by Naked Girls Reading, but again that's not an event for kids, it's an adult only event.
Come listen to naked ladies reading your favorite childhood stories!
Bring your onesie or jammies, a pillow to sit on, and your favorite booze and let us **** up your childhood!! (Please note this is an 18+ show)
Lol

Wasn't talking about you...as I explained earlier
The group itself is responding to all ages criticism by lecturing the public about nudity and sexuality. Yet they are (or were at least) using sexual imaging to promote their events.
"Mistake by someone who didn't know how to use facebook" come on now that is a Trump excuse

The benefit of having it be 18+ is that you know that 100% of the people there have consented to being there. I have a hard time believing that any random 12 year old kid would be super stoked to go to an event with a bunch of naked adults, certainly wouldn't be my idea of a good time when I was that age. More likely any kids present will have been dragged there by their nudist parents as some sort of attempt to ingrain lifelong body positivity or what have you. Worthy goal, but bad method, sorry to say. This is a simple and strong condition that would be completely reasonable.
It blows my mind that people here are choosing the "naked kids should 100% be around naked adults" as their hill to die on. Super weird.
