Just curious, but who do you count as vets? I do see everyone ripping on Brouwer, but are Monahan, Gaudreau vets now too?

I don’t know if video exists, but it was after a game vs Minnesota in 2012 that Brent beat up the trash can

Then again, Sutter may have gotten some of the angst and anger out of his system after a pair of salty meltdowns. The first came last week, when the Flames wasted a two-goal lead and lost in a shootout to the Minnesota Wild. Sutter responded by kicking the daylights out of an unsuspecting trash can, then venting his frustrations to Calgary general manager Jay Feaster.

somebody needs to clip that GG stick toss and make it into a GIF.
it'll become a staple to all PGT regardless of game win or loss.

Flames lose = GG stick toss GIF
Flames win = so blame GG? = GG stick toss GIF

I would say Monahan, Gaudreau, Gio, Brodie, Brouwer, Backlund, Stajan.

He makes mention of seeing "one good game from some of you !@#$ing veterans".

That's a clear call out of Brouwer and Stajan specifically, because there's no way you can call out any of the other players for only having one good game.

I went to a coaching clinic and had a long talk with a couple of CFL coaches.

I actually asked them about coaches temper tantrums.

There are two types of them

Spontaneous - The team is slumping, the players aren't working hard, and the practice is dogsh%t. Basically this one is about the coach letting off steam Usually these temper tantrums don't do much for the players motivation. This is where the only way to fix the team takes coaching. Change strategy, change lineups, cut or demote a player to encourage the others.

Planned - The team is doing well, things seem to be going well, this is a hedge point to get ahead of a complacency issues. As one of the coaches told me, it doesn't matter if a practice or game is going well or not, it might be the best practice every, but the coach has given the "Hey watch this shyt" warning to his other coaches. Then during the practice the coach loses it, he will literally stop the practice and let the players have it and tell them that they didn't play well in the last couple of games, and they're practicing like they're the Stanley Cup Champions, and that BS isn't going to fly and the attitude has to change.

This is also known as the Scotty Bowman. Its used to keep the players on thier toes.

Whichever one this one was. Whether spontaneous, or planned, I don't know.

But good form on the stick fling.

Still not buying it. He looked almost scared yelling at them. It is not his natural behavior and if he doesn't believe the team won't believe. At least he is trying.

Obviously upset but still composed enough not to smash a $300 composite stick.

Like GG said look at the standings

This is great, they were obviously dragging their asses at practice...half assed efforts are the major issue with this team. Practice like you play and play like you practice

You do however have to give Glen credit for distance.

Playfair went for damage, Gully went for distance. Its hard to say which is more effective.

I think I prefer the 'Happy Gilmore' stick throw.

You should ask this to most posters in the Game Threads.
