No, i'm not worried, i think its an improper use of a public facility given that this currently goes against our laws. The key being that a private group essentially bypassed city operations, to hold a public event, in a public facility.

That doesn't even make any sense.
This event has been known for months. I heard about it ages ago. The CBC just "outed" it, so now the group has to play along and be positive.
Just FYI, there's another group of Calgary nudists that regularly book public facilities for nekkid swims. Two nekkids groups!

How does any of that matter to anyone? This is occurring after normal hours with staff who volunteer and is being paid for by the group using the facility. If the facility were not available for others to rent out and use in this manor than I could see how there could be an issue of special treatment. But why not live and let live?

^That's whats the difference to me, they're taking over the facility and inviting the public. How is this any different to the pool just posting "All Ages Public Naked Swim Time 7-9pm" , there's no way that would fly.

Even if a pedo shows up, they get their rocks off in a public place where they are unable to do anything and if they are caught staring at kids, they will apparently be kicked out.
Though how the staff are going to make that judgement call I am not sure of.
And they can just as easily hang around change rooms, at least the same sex pedos.
In all likelihood this will be a sausage fest of 40+ year old men and they will never again try to make it public.
And I seriously doubt any parents that aren't nudists are going to bring their kids.

I'm pretty sure some of the swimsuits you see out there give the same amount of coverage on slides as wearing nothing at all. It's kids who can't control their bladders you really need to worry about.
