That would be crazy. He is the last remaining forward in the A who has earned a look due to playing well this season..
Gaudreau-Monahan-Ferland
Tkachuk-Backlund-Lazar
Bennett-Jankowski-Hathaway
Mangiapane-Hrivik-Klimchuk
Edit: I know it's a pipedream to imagine Brouwer being a healthy scratch

Despite some of the conspiracy theories, I do really think the Flames wanted Freddie down in Stockton to help the farm team to help offset the loses.

Absolutely, no doubt.
My reference with respect to him not being a loss is with the big club. He absolutely would be a useful asset with Stockton.

Sorry wasn't responding to you. Was responding to the question of why Hamilton on waivers.

I wouldn't mind duclair being brought in, but what more does Klimchuk need to do to get his shot?

Would you guys consider Backlund for Marner in some kind of deal? Man I love watching that guy play! Not that I don't love Backs too and what he brings to the team but his contract status definitely concerns me.

Marner won’t be traded for a rental.
Calgary would do it in a second of course.

i'd kick the tires on that trade too...tough to do now that the the flames have trades a lot of their picks...
i thought Lazar was a decent risk to take, but so far, not a lot of results...too early to call, but man, i wish the flames had a 2nd + something to offer up for duclair

We don't need anymore middle six left shot wingers.. We need some RH shots in our top 9.

I think Lazar + Shinkaruk for Duclair would be a decent swap.

Discusses players available for trade, and Duclair comes up. Makes you wonder why Arizona wants to get rid of him, and why the Flames don't give it a go.

Anthony Duclair has requested a trade from the Arizona Coyotes, according to Craig Custance of The Athletic.
Duclair, 22, has seven goals and 13 points in 31 games with the last-place club this season. He has spent the entire season to date with the NHL club after spending 16 games last season with the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners.

No more reclamation projects, please. I don't see that Duclair, at 22, has that much up-side.

Duclair has great speed and a decent shot. Not entirely sure why it hasn't come together for him, but belonging to a terrible hockey club might have something to do with it.
I'd take a flyer on him

He has a lot more potential than Lazar.

Not much upside, but his present play is better than Lazar or Shinkaruk. So if you're just looking at him as a bottom line guy, fine. I don't see Arizona wanting Lazar, who'd be on his third "fresh start". They might be interested in Shinkaruk or Poirier.

I only trade for guys like him if there is another reclamation project going back. Not saying they are part a deal, but guys like Poirier and Wotherspoon could probably use a fresh start too.

Sorry, but no one is going to be interested in Piorier. A team might claim him on waivers, but I highly doubt anyone would give up an asset for him. Sad to say, but there is some baggage there & he has yet to prove himself. I would say it is questionable as to whether he is a full time AHLer at this point.
